Dekunoki:
Best part of TBC was how the Arena Season gear was handed down to non-arena folk when a new season came out. You could then buy it with honor, and battleground marks.
This was also available for High-Warlord gear, and mounts.
Rank 11 Mounts were: 30 Alterac Marks, 30 Arathi Marks, and 30 WSG Marks.
Rank 14 Gear was also availble. High Warlord’s Cleaver was 15300 Honor, and 20 Eye of The Storm Marks.
I remember pvping from 10 - 60 straight saving marks, honor, and gear. Buying all the Warlord gear as I leveled, then equipped it all at 60.
This would last me until 70 where I’d do it all over again. Then when Arena finished, you’d buy all the Arena gear’s previous season in the same way. I don’t ever recall any time in WoW’s history where PvP was so epic. <3
This was literally the system in place from TBC-WoD. It never changed. The previous seasons’ gear would drop to Honor, and the new season had a new set of gear one “Tier” higher (12 ilevels in TBC and Wrath, 15 iLevels from Cata onward).
