End game focus is a mostly retail perspective. Many people who play Classic are not interested in end game. This does not affect us at all. Some of us just enjoy the journey, that is why many left retail in the first place.
Yeah. I crushed those raids in Vanilla. I’m a millennial.
Yeah. there’s no journey in retail.
You roll that 120 in Character Gen and you start with your mythic gear from Azshara’s Palace.
Not when you have a team of people supporting a raid team using 15 year old well know strats.
Don’t bother engaging, some people just hate Classic. Don’t let them rain on our parade. If this makes them feel validated, let them have it. They obviously are lacking something for this to mean so much to them.
People are being immature about it but even I’m starting to get tired of all of the false claims of classic’s supposed difficulty relative to the high end of retail when it isn’t even a competition.
Mythic raiding and mythic + are way more difficult than anything classic offers. Heck, heroic raiding is more difficult the majority of the time.
That being said, I am enjoying messing around in classic. It does have its charm. I don’t play it for challenging content though, because that is something it completely lacks in its current iteration.
Most of the challenge came from how inexperienced everybody was at the time anyway.
I think the whole debate is silly on both sides. Do you think people who like ketchup go on forums of people who like mustard and express their disgust? It’s exactly the same nonsense here. It’s so ridiculous. Not to mention, NEWS FLASH some people like both ketchup and mustard. Some even like to eat both at the same time. Crazy huh?
The rationalizing is truly something to behold.
I agree with the sentiment but I can’t help but share the fact that I have some friends that legitimately argued about rather ketchup or mustard goes on a hamburger.
People love to argue and sometimes it is comical.
Lmao but did they go on forums to a room of strangers and dislike them for their condiment choices? Because that’s next level lol.
The issue is a lot of the Millenial hate isn’t even towards Millenials, the youngest are like 25.
Should have been Maraudon patch mechanics, not 1.12 mechanics. Classic was already a much different game in late 2006 than it was in early 2005.
As someone who played in original I know today’s raids are much more involved but to try to dismiss original raids by people who have had 15 years of information on the subject in question and who have practiced on this for years with a different build than was originally offered, add on that the multiple add ons, and sites like wowhead comparing this go round to people who spent hours just trying to locate a single quest at times back in the day is just foolish. Comparing people who tested out mechanics, had to learn about using resist gear and the such, boss strats to people who have been practicing and know everything to know about any of these fights is just foolish
