Really? I started in mop and mostly play a holy paladin. I have soloed most non dungeon content since mop. I have played a hunter and there is no comparison. Holy paladin kicks a hunters butt in survivability and has no down time that a hunter is forced to take to heal.
You can do that in most classes. That in itself is nothing particular.
That has more to do with āwhos hunter and whos paladinā than class specifics.
While you can ātheoricraftā as much as you want, a good hunter can fly most classes like a kite, and odds are, ANY class will ākick someoneās behindā because they dont know how to play the class they are playing, and not because the class is bad.
This is an alt that im on, but always been a hunter main since I started the game. With the amount of content and achievements to farm I prefer to dedicate them all to one toon. I do have alts of every class and tend to play them more during slow times at end of patches for farming and such but I always come back to hunter
Thatās because they all died trying to fight bears and other wildlife by punching the animal in the face instead of utilizing the perfectly serviceable weapons on their back!
just makes no sense to me why i have to play more then 1 character. if i am enjoying the 1 class why bother with the others for now? even if rewards are tied to having multiple characters and running it through content im not going to bother. imho a game shouldnāt have rewards like that tbh then your kind of gating the people like myself who mostly play 1 class only and force them to play other classes just for a reward IF they want it.
well yea i mean either give both the rewards or non at all kinda of thing. i used to collect mounts but now days it doesnāt interest me especially when it involves me playing other classes to get their class mounts such as dkās or via legion stuff. farming mounts as well is easier with alts but i personally dont like to have say 10+ toons that are the same class. my deleted list has about 5 of each of my classes that i mained at some point most are low level some are max for their respective expac when i made them.
1 you asked for
2 this was my experience which once again you asked for
3 I have played a hunter, before the level theft, from 1 to 60 and then after boosting, to 100, from 100 to 120. I am saying that there are things in open world that I would never do with a hunter especially new content of a new expansion. Even with my beloved 2nd choice class of Rouge would I ever tackle new content without the healing aspect of a holy paladin. I am dreading leveling my rouge, warrior, and hunter in shadow lands, knowing the what I know, going though this content as a HP.
I feel like Iām an outdated model now. When I started playing originally, EVERYONE was a one-toon-player, because the grind to level cap was so long.
Not, it appears to be a rarity to only play one or two classesā¦
I have at least one of every class, although a few I find kind of boring, like priest, shaman and druid, so donāt have many of them. I love monks, rogues and hunters, but overall I probably have the most hunters.
With the exception of my dranei hunter, all other races, which are all BM hunters, have a theme. My magāhar only tames wolves and dog type creatures, my undead only diseased or dead creatures, my DiD only tames flame type creatures, my z troll only dinosaurs, my belf only cats and my human hunter only animals based on real life pets Iāve had as heās based on my dad. I have a few others, but yeah, I like hunters a lot. I like taming things, naming things and doing battle with 2 pets at my side.
I think they donāt want to go down that route because people will complain they canāt play alts like they are already doing and if they donāt make content harder they canāt prolong content release without losing money we be sticking doing the same content like we are and that gets boring after a while.
Itās kind of like a win win situation majority wise. Makes the game feel less like an mmorpg though IMHO and feels more like I guess say overwqtch where your rewarded playing multiple classes to a good extent. More benefits for people 2ho play more then 1 class.
It is what it is though I just hate when rewards are tied to content that requires playing alts as it excludes people like myself who donāt have much interest playing alts actively. If the rewards are not removed its fine but if they are then yea
Almost always on a Druid. I have a monk Iāll spend some time on after 9.1.5 and tool around healing in holy priest and resto shaman sometimes, occasionally arcane mage, but I probably have 25+ resto druids at various levels. I never feel right on anything else.
