Honestly I can’t be bothered to go back that far through the WoW news articles. But if memory serves me, the actual term used by Blizzard, and I believe Ion himself was that Classic was to be a “time capsule” for that period.
It was actually the opposite where it was players who were all “classic plus” and “when the release WotLK” which was never stated as Blizzard’s intention.
They never planned for further progression because they didn’t know how successful it would be, the survey to gauge for response was well after the release and success of Classic.
Also being on the classic forums was not something you alone were part of and doesn’t exactly default you as being correct. I too was heavily active in the classic forums and yet we have opposing opinions on the matter
Well what did you think would happen when Blizzard decided to release different versions of the game? The population decreases because the players divide to what they like the most. I’m certain that if TBC servers release, WotLK would follow up.
lmao no one needs an announcement, the demand is high and classic turned out successful, 1+1 = does in fact equal 2 sir. the “impossible and imaginable” already happened, tbc announcement is nowhere near the “yeah right” of that initial 2018 classic announcement
yep, it does feel like being locked into just two continents, bouncing back and forth between auberdine and menethil isnt just enough, outlands and northrend are more than enough to keep us spiced, we’ll have new races and new class, we dont need anything more than that especially since cata will just take away classic all over AGAIN, that and the expansion was only good from 4.0 until we we found out what 4.1 was
agreed, i was posting in here on my classic warrior for the longest before i realized it looked out of place with everyone’s highdef models, i also wish the classic characters would have their own armory profiles but w/e
It’s funny you think everyone isn’t salivating at the thought of how OP Prot Paladins were and that now that we don’t have the stigma from Vanilla, you won’t have about 3 million Prot Paladins around.
the actual tool or the pop in dungeons? i joined in tbc and remember the tool that showed you the list of queued players and their roles, was that really wrath?
I guess it depends on which one you’re talking about. The LFD tool we have today is from Wrath. The crappy “Looking for Group” that hardly anyone used was added in Classic.
