On cataclysm classic is vial of the sands boa or bop? And does it drop for non alchemists?

I am extremely confused if this recipe is bop or boa on cataclysm classic, according to this wowhead post at some point in cata they changed it to boa, and there are multiple sources that say it doesnt need to be an alchemist to drop it from the canopic jar, just to learn you need 525 alchemy, if a blue could confirm how it is currently working in cata classic would be great.

That WoWhead post says nothing about the recipe or about changing it to be BoA. The mount was changed to be sellable. That’s it. The recipe is BoP as it always has been.

You can only obtain the recipe if you’re an Alchemist.

its bop. no one really knows if you need to be alchemist to obtain it because no one is insane enough to try it out. however you can farm like 20 of the containers as non alchemist then copy to ptr and each of them gets a new id. then you could truly find out if it works for non alchemists…

I done that but I was alchemist, just to see if its even out on cata launch and I got it after doing it 6 times on ptr, some days later then on live.

thanks for the feedback guys, anyone knows if you need to be 525 alch for it to drop or any alchemy lvl will work?

If its the same as it was any one with arc can get it . Had it on my blacksmith/miner/arc in original cata . Lot of good it did vendered it .
