OMG they nerfed Pelagos

exactly where my fears are… and why I have a feeling I’m going to hate this system worse than azerite. But I’m willing to give them one last benefit of the doubt.

For any class, you went pelagos if you went Kitrian.

He gave both a potency conduit and a damage boost on the same track, he just straight up had more stats than the other soulbinds.

It’s not new, and classic and the frequently discussed TBC all harp on the impacts of progressive vs final patches due to the wild changes in class/encounters power throughout an expansion.

What exactly is fun about choosing between abilities that have a 2 pages description and you have no idea what is happening in the middle of the fight? The fun part should be a consistent and well-planned class and have fun with this.

Mages will just constantly bring up how that 1 time in Sunwell they weren’t good so therefore Blizz hates them despite them being an S tier class in all aspects of the game for pretty much ever.

LOL. You’re funny. I clap for you.

Good, I want a excuse to be able to pick the angel-winged lady for BIS soulbind because I love val’kyr people, not owl or wingless aspirants.

S-CLASS? LOL. You’re funny. I clap for you.

This was never going to be something you could balance. There’s just going to be a “right choice” or else a bunch of equally useless, unimpactful choices.

You can’t have significantly impactful choices that don’t matter, it’s contradictory.

They have been a consistent, strong dps class that sees heavy use in raids, mythic+, and PvP for basically ever.

They single handedly broke the classic economy with how they can aoe boost.

They are just a consistently strong class across the board over the games 16 year history.

It is, warlocks and hunters re-summoning pets is a death sentence. You stand there vulnerable for a long time.

exactly, they should never change how a class plays this drastically to where it goes from being ranged to melee (or vice versa). while ranged Survival might not have been the very best hunter spec it was still loads more fun and enjoyable to play compared to what we have now with melee survival.

No one would be crying about the changes if they chose to fix the issues by elevating the poor performing choices instead of nerfing the superior choice.

well this is what people want, these to just be cosmetic choices - if they are all awful then play what you want

Yea, I’m pretty curious to see how damage will look once people have gear. I have done some matches on Beta and it’s honestly hard to tell because there is a lot I need to learn yet… but my hunter pet is still dying to cleave pretty easily, even with heals.

In MoP, they buffed hunter pet res 3 times. When it became obvious that teams could just focus the pet for an easy win, it made hunter’s almost unplayable higher up. That said, the buffs came quick and the problem was alleviated. That’s why it’s so surprising to me that they changed this. I mean… I get it relative to PvE. If you can just spam res your pet to taunt and tank a few blows it can be a big deal. In PvP though, once the bed is dead… it’s basically game over unless you have turtle up.

OR, they need to give locks and hunters more tools again. Even in mop I could take the phoenix pets for an instant res. We also had glyphs that made our healing better. All of that is gone.

I really don’t get what Blizz is thinking here without over come compensation for the loss.

Divine Toll is still a wicked offensive spell that’s hard to pass up as a Pally, I’m sticking with Kyrian for sure. The vers buff was cool but oh well.

Pelagos also has a soulbind ability “Cleansed Vestments” that causes mobs to randomly drop a bag of cloth/enchant mats and it was VERY lucrative. Fyi.

It won’t, but I’m going to just hope things like this lead to Ion being forced out. I truly believe he is the root of all that is wrong with WoW.

Yea. On the surface he just seems so out of touch. My concern would be he’s just facilitating w/e demand management has and this is the way they addressed it. I have never been one to agree with the whole play time metric thing, but this might in line with that thinking.

If that’s the case, he’s here to stay and simply doing as asked. =/

Dude. Fire was really OP, and Frost is getting their moment. Time Warp is still a big utility in your kit. Wait for tuning.
