Again if we look at timewalking, the content ends up getting trivialized. Not to mention that again, I wouldn’t want Devs putting in elbow grease on old content every time they revamp the classes for an xpac release.
The parameters that were set when they created content like CMs and Mage Tower was that it was going away. And for players who went in and participated under those rules are now being shafted because that essentially meant that Blizzard lied to them. And trust me when I say that it would be a very controversial decision.
Not to mention that they did remove exclusives that nobody seems to talk about which is the Mythic set from ToV associated with “The Chosen” title. Which tells me that for the most part if it looks cool, then we’re going to continue with threads like the ones about Mage Tower weapons and CM sets. But if they look pretty trashy, which the sets pretty much do, then nobody’s going to bat an eye.
If the request to be made is that moving forward you’d want to remove the idea of exclusives in the game it’s one thing. But to take away the challenge and uniqueness of the items for the sole reason of wanting it just doesn’t seem fair to players who did put in the time.
well, in all fairness, they apparently can devote dev time to screwing over my loot-a-rang for no good reason…certainly its not a lot to at least ask if they can take a few moments to allow appearances not to be locked now.
Of course they can. Not sure when or if they ever will. I just find it extremely selfish and greedy people are upset about something that was exclusive.
Given how they’re going all in on monetization they should add:
Challenge mode sets for $15
Mage Tower appearances for $15
TCG mounts for $15
All PvP glad mounts back in the game to be obtained by gladiators earning “Gladiator Saddles”
Seriously, even if there was a uproar I doubt Blizzard would even notice with the amount of people defending their every move. And they’ll make insane bank off this.
I wish they would open the challenges again. I half assed them last time, I’d make sure I complete them this time. I’d also like the mage tower opened, i missed it in legion. I know this stuff won’t happen, it’s just a want.
Yeah except the devs aren’t devoting their time to things that matter. Given the posts we get on the forums, in the PTR forums, and even in the beta forums. They don’t listen to feedback regarding issues the players are being asked to test. And they definitely don’t communicate with the player base via blueposts enough.
Timewalking raids should always be updated to the ilvl of the current normal raids imo. It keeps them on par with value and gives the players a reason to do them. Not to mention certain trinkets, weapons, special proc items bring opportunities to break out of the stale meta we always see form. I honestly wish they would allow past set bonuses to function beyond their original expansion. Timewalk every raid set and let the players build a playstyle they enjoy for the current M+, PVP, raid season.
I want to see more challenges, honestly. Perhaps if they do bring back the old ones they could give us recolors. I would like to have the models available again, but the distinction for people who did it way back is something I think should stay.
Like how the CM armor came back as a recolor for Order Halls.
I’m not opposed to this option as a middle ground. There are several elite sets I missed out on in arena that I’d love to pick up as well. Recolor it and give me the chance to earn it.
On this topic, I would like to see some of the older class and race specific quests return, possibly updated. Like the Blood Elf polearm, and stuff like that which was removed in Cataclysm.
I’m not 100% sure but I believe I did the quest before Cataclysm, but deleted that character before then as well, and didn’t create another Blood Elf Paladin until long after that was gone, probably sold the polearm very quickly after replacing it as well.
If that character was on your same account and you restored it, maybe that would add the appearances to your transmog thing if it was a quest reward–or maybe some other things you had sitting in the bank from that time.
But they did reopen some things as stated in my list of inormation provided by BMAh or 1800 in pvp for vanilla pvp gear. Thats why i state, why do some of us get the uniqueness removed and not all of them.
Some of these items like The PVP gear has been reobtainable for AT Least, since BFA and is still. the gear from Naxx is on the BMAh for, a few xpacs now as well. my statement was true.
