I had one low alt left to delete on grobb to help out blizzard. dead data I could remove to be nice.
I couldn’t get into grobb till like US West time of 0200 to do that lol. and I jsut wanted to delete them. Not play lol.
Tell you what–you release the population numbers (both horde and alliance) for all of these growing new servers and I’ll take the free transfer. My server queues have gone UP since you started them. And there’s no way in hell I’m going to try and guess which server has 1% Alliance population right now and then have to spend $100 in a few months so I can play with other people again. Been there, done that last year. Never again.

I take it you’ve never been to a theme park.
So OB is both a complete ghost town, but also has a huge bot population? To whom are theses bots selling their ill-gotten gains?

Proprietary perspective? wtf are you talking about? These are Classic WoW servers. They’re not releasing the information because no one would want to transfer from a 30k server to a 3k server. Especially without any knowledge of faction balance.

Respectfully, since I won’t dispute it’s possible this move will help OB (even tho a % of those accounts are bots or short-timers), but
- What’s the plan for the other servers that fell in population between Sulfuras (Azuresong, BB, Myzrael)
- Why didn’t Blizz consider a move like this sooner, before a number of guilds left those 5 servers because population was swooning in the last phase of TBC?
Not on Bene, even with the queues there are raids happening in SWP, BT, Hyjal…lay off the copium lol

That was the channel 4 chat of the night my first night there.
Many OG people were nice to us refugees. Cool talks in channel 4 and such. But they were honest and upfront about hoping bots don’t come in too.
Time will tell I reckon. I hope they don’t come either.

Blizz, players don’t want to take the risk of being on an unpopulated server. It seems like there is a really simple solution around this where you say players can sign up to transfer if at least x number of other transfer. Set that x to something between 5,000-7500 and move guilds as a whole when large parts of a guild opt in. You would have your transfers in hours. (Also people have to be able to log in to transfer cough cough 4 hour queues)
