I believe you can only queue with up to a party of 5. So if they had 8 players on the same realm, that’s just coincidence.
In most cases premade v pugs is rare. Most instances will have either a premade face another premade or will have pugs vs pugs.
The fact that it is rare for a premade to fight pugs makes it unworthy of a complaint.
Let me queue for the “out-leveled” dungeons I still have quests for and you got a deal.
Ilvl scaling is gone, random bg players arent awarded conquest only honor for trash gear, and now facing premades. It’s great isn’t it?
Just ran into a 13 person moonguard premade. Blizz obviously cares zero percent about game balance.

Blizzard tried to segregate pre-mades from solo queuers but as the server pops declined, the pre-mades weren’t getting their queues filled fast enough. So the devs went back to the old queuing system.
Just one of those been there done that and failed strats.
