PVP Battlegrounds

Was just in an Alliance Ashran game, some highlights:

  • immediately some Warlock and Death Knight started arguing about who has a bigger e-peen, comparing arena ratings, calling each other names, etc
  • … Warlock and Death Knight monopolize the chat with their cuss words and attacks on each other, it gets nasty
  • some dude from a top 10 US Mythic guild randomly links his cutting edge Mythic U’unat acheev in chat
  • some rogue randomly shouts out the N-word a few times
  • a different hi-ranking arena Pally gets into it with the cutting edge guy, says cutting edge doesn’t mean s__t compared to someone who has arena achievements, claims PvE takes no skill
  • …Warlock and Death Knight still attacking each other
  • cutting edge guy randomly links his Mythic U’unat acheev again and says “guys i’m better than all of u, please stop arguing”
  • meanwhile Horde is just taking the whole map “for free” since Alliance is too busy arguing in chat instead of fighting

I left when it was around A:180 to H: 265, no one was even doing objectives :roll_eyes: , our team was just sorta scattered all over. Horde had summoned their big boss and no one was really trying to kill it (to busy typing in chat I guess).

Inemia is right, “toxic” is exactly the word to describe a lot of these guys :joy:

I would post a screenshot, but I’m pretty sure some of the vulgar language in the chat is against the rules here :rofl:

Had the same thing 2/3 of my Horde BGs. 1st BG was an in progress Horde Ashran loss with a few people using choice words which I won’t link here. 2nd was a WG, that was fine. Then the AV we had a toxic player, but luckily he got booted. Sorry but using the AFK feature shouldn’t be just for AFK players… it was exactly intended for players like that too imo.

Yep, I have to say this 8.2 week - I mean BG week - has both irked me and amused me. :laughing:

TBH it’s been kind of funny to see so many bad hordies out. Now I know there are TONS of terribad horde - as bad as or possibly even surpassing the terribadness of the alliance I am used to seeing. And don’t get me wrong - I’m playing with them too, so I’m feelin’ the pain as well…

Crazily enough, after he left we turned it around for a win!

They really need to address the deserter/backfill issue. I don’t think they can ignore it any longer.

It gets better, I’m just now remembering that several of these “high rolling” arena pros died to the avoidable Kronus PvE mechanics :rofl:

I was just watching from a safe distance, got a good chuckle out of it :joy:

I’m finding it’s getting increasingly difficult to play during BG week. I don’t want to turn into gdtroll(no offense) and start afking out of bgs but it’s getting to the point of attacking my sanity.

Yeah its getting to be that point. I have resorted to qing ally most of the week because of how bad its been getting as horde lol

Ugh, yesterday I was grouped up with some friends and we had lost 6 games in a row, including the epic bgs. We only won a Southshore v Taurenmill Brawl. >.<

This is also true between BG week and now pve people wanting blood of the enemy makes bgs pretty rough

Indeed, we got trolled HARD by the devs making Blood of the Enemy only obtainable thru bgs/honor grinding… “what could possibly go wrong?” with such a massive carrot on a stick for top-tier players? :joy:

Geez, I thought I was totally losing my mind. I’ve had so many headaches this week, I thought I’d missed some weird exodus of manners. Just…salty johns, armchair commanders, game throwers as far as the eye can see… I just finished dealing with the headache that was PvP Islands for my essence, not dealing with that again.
