Lol, that’s not how it works or ever will work. There’s no way to “offline” your character ingame correctly without getting tons of bugs and glitches. And npcs are dumb as rocks in wow, no way you can have npcs to do dungons with. This ain’t FFXIV with their trust system. WoW npcs lag behind and aggro mobs 100 miles away and have pitiful damage.
You say that like they can’t be programmed otherwise.

That would cost a season or 2 to program right, sorry. Can’t take dev time away from the real content. And even then they would bug out or somehow get stuck or do terrible damage.
That requires social engagement. There’s a large group of people, apparently, who play MMORPGs but have no interest in playing with other people. It’s a very interesting phenomenon.

not surprised no one thought of people using offline mode for when they are being stalked/harassed by someone. but nope apparently according to some posters they just have to deal with them and let themselves be stalked and harassed.

If you feel the need to hide from your guild or in game friends, you need to find better ones. They should be able to respect that you want a little “me” time without you having to try and play hide and seek with them.
I’m like 90% sure people don’t care if you’re online or not.

Their ai was so stupid it was easily abusable.
Still a sight better then the general NPC logic in this game, especially with Stinky Sneaky Pete. And i don’t see how NPC’s being basic as they are can abuse them.
If anything, i could see the AI abusing the NPC’s given how much they jump.

Well thats because no one wants to play with each other lol… people either have friends that they already play with or guild mates they group with… kinda like high school 2.0
you’ve obviously never been the victim of domestic abuse from a marriage gone bad or you find out your partners a stalker psychopath and wants to keep tab on you 24/7. the person you once thought was your gamer friend is now your worst nightmare. and don’t give me some garbage that stalkers can’t be gamers.
