This isnt my main.
not mailable to alts btw
So did my main (this character) not get any Echos because no other character I have has rank 3 essences? Because I don’t see the currency as a reward for the emissary either on this character
Strange.
How many alts are you realistically going to put R3s on?
Preferably every one I can.
Honestly, would have been nice to have seen this before i opened my M+ chest. What is being done to fix this issue if people had already opened their M+ before this post was amended? Or is it a case of that we now have lost out on the currancy?
By why though? I would rather spend the efforts on alts I plan on using this expac rather than just put them on everyone.
This is significantly less than what I hoped for. The problem, as I see it, is that Blizzard is concentrating on the character, not the player. From a business standpoint, it doesn’t matter what character I choose, there is still only one log-in, one account (multiboxers excluded), one revenue stream. Its the player who doesn’t want to complete the content multiple times, regardless of character.
I think the Benthic armor system would have been the ideal solution. I can grind the currency on whichever character I want, purchase a token and send it to the character than needs it. Personally, I have 16 characters at 120. I raid with 2 of them consistently and have a selection of three or four that will raid casually.
I have done the content. 16 times. I do the current content constantly on 2 characters and a lot of it on about 4 or so more. It shouldn’t matter what character I choose to play that day, the currency earned should be available to all. I, the player, have put in my time and effort. I see no benefit, to Blizzard or myself, to forcing me to slow my overall progress down by spreading my effort over even 5 characters. And what is the benefit to Blizzard? Would something like the Benthic system break the game? Is there a problem with players having more than a few characters who can effectively fulfill a particular role? I can still only log one character into the game (multiboxers excluded again).
I know that only 2 of my characters really matter. I could easily choose to play only those two. And guess what? The amount of time I spend in-game won’t change. So…why annoy me by forcing me to choose whether or not to split my time even more.
Are you trolling? This is clearly a mistake on Blizzard’s part. Remember, the ORDER that you log in triggers the currency. I should not have to log into my characters in a particular order to participate in a new game system.
Just saw that on Twitter, they’re not even apologizing? Well I guess we’re too dumb to understand their master design and it’s all our fault then.
Sorry blizz, sorry for being so stupid you’re the best I hope you choke on your own ego.
When I created my initial descent in the thread, I had no idea this whole situation would turn out like this. You’ve upset even more people by implementing this unnecessary system for Echoes. I don’t feel like I am becoming more engaged or immersed or progressing on alts by earning these. Now people aren’t getting credit because you didn’t warn them AHEAD OF TIME about the correct logging order? FYI, just keep it simple next time, Blizzard.
You know what would have fixed all this? If they would have just let you build currency and then BUY the essences from a vendor without all this non sense in between. Instead, they try to reinvent the wheel, again, for the 45405409549 time and mess it up. It is the end of the expansion. When things dont really matter anymore. We have always come to the end of the expansion and feeling like superman. I do not understand why they do the things they do.
I would still be playing this game if that had been the case. I would have had a reason for logging in and feeling some real character progress. Now? My sub runs out later this month and I am done till Shadowlands. I can’t take this non sense anymore and that is banking on that Shadowlands alpha even looks worth playing because I highly doubt, from past experiences, they will change anything that is in the alpha and beta. If its more of this non sense, I am done with what has been my favorite game for nearly half my life. Or until WotLK servers come out.
Yeah, why I can’t just collect the currency without some imagined need to do so is beyond me.
Fix it blizzard. You’re irritating more people than your’re helping, especially with the attitude coming from your CS department.
Thank you, i saw that . Totally not right shakes my head
Lol, you just update this to fix the bug that dont let our alters get the echoes from the weekly chest, now I have to wait another week to get them lol, I work every day to get this kinda bugs and they cant retrive the echoes to my mage, most of the player like me dont have time to keep checking the forums to know this… this is really bad, im just unsuscribing this joke.
I would imagine the only way they figure out how to give them to you is if enough unsub. Seems to be the only time they manage to figure out anything.
I cannot for the life of me comprehend this. CS has the ability to check and see if the currency was awarded to the alt or not, they can also check how much of the currency the alt currently has. If the alt has ZERO then it doesn’t seem to be a technical thing. I just don’t understand…
I believe this system was supposed to be in response to the number of unsubs they are already receiving. And now they’ve effed this up. Unreal.
All very true, and meaningless.
Raiding should be the way you get the best raiding gear, essences included.
PVP should be the way you get the best pvp gear, essences included.
I seriously doubt anyone could argue that, but Blood of the Enemy is BIS for several PVE builds, “fury warrior for example.” That shouldn’t happen. If need be, make the raid essence give 20% bonus damage that only works in the raid and scale appropriately, we should never be choosing a M+ essence over the raid essence, in raid.
