The OP asked about obtaining essences, specifically not caring their worth.
And worth or not, Conflict and Strife Rank 1 and Rank 2 do NOT need any kind of Ranked gameplay. Don’t lie.
Edit: Matter of fact Rank 3 is also obtainable without Ranked matches, just takes many weeks.
