A squirrel I attacked because I was bored waiting on a rare to respawn.
Nazbro… I still miss him to this day… He was a good travel pal in MoP
I sure that those fuzzy cute animals are plotting to destroy all of azeroth, it’s ok you can half thier population for 35g and a grey staff.
High Botanist in The Nighthold. He just wanted to save his garden.
As many have said, Nazgrim. He honored the Horde.
I have killed a few polar bears and always regret it. I used to run from them on that daily in Zul’ drak after checking their, uh, delicates
Lastly, every single Alliance NPC I killed fulfilling Sylvanas’ desires.
Malygos and Ysera. ;-;
I’ve done this quest once and only once for loremaster. Will never do again. Every time I get to that point I let Bossy know that she gets to live because the goblins of Booty Bay aren’t worth her sacrifice.
Corrupted ysera…THESE HAAAANDS! They were only meant to destroy!
I hate killing anything that’s not of its own mind. In Val’sharah there’s a quest to kill frenzied furbolgs. I don’t think I had killed any when I came across a furbolg asking me to look for his nephew. Low and behold you find out what’s causing the furbolgs to attack. Once you put a stop to it they become neutral. You think Blizz would have put something in place so you didn’t have to kill them since the druid even said they used to live peacefully with them. Annoying part was this quest can’t be skipped as it’s part of the main story.
Yeah, I remember actually reporting that as a bug in beta–I thought that surely Blizz couldn’t still mean to force us to kill enough of them to round out that first quest after the second one cures them and makes them neutral, but apparently that was Working As Intended (tm.)
Every time I played through Val’sharah I always made sure to finish the “kill them all” quest before I destroyed the nightmare totem, so that at least my character wouldn’t be inexplicably massacring them in cold blood.
I regret nothing…
/sips soup baby yoda style
Ysera… that brought the feels. Especially as part of a Quest…
Along with her, pretty much every named Dragon we’ve had to kill due to madness/corruption.
Killing Void Elves and Alleria in the horrific vision. It’s horrify.
Pretty much any NPC that gets corrupted, who you have to “put out of their misery”.
Keristrasza, Ysera, Vaelastrasz. Hell, Thaddius makes me feel awful. The screams that echo through Naxx, the aggro line, the death line… when I was younger it really unsettled me.
I was JUST about to say Keristrasza. Even when I was much younger, killing her felt horribly wrong, especially after the serious implications of what Malygos did to her.
All of the starving Nightborne you have to kill because they are mana starved, , only to find out later you might have been able to save them. R.I.P. Runas.
Ysera. 'Nuff said.
For me, I have a few good ones.
Varimathras: Yes he was a demon, a traitor to sylvanas and responsible for the wrathgate fiasco, but he was such a cool guy in Frozen throne; seeing what became of him in Antorus just… it hurt man.
Rastakhan: Dude was probably more concerned with the well being of his island nation then joining up with Sylvie, but the alliance still came into his home, slaughtered his council and then him because he wouldn’t grovel before genn “master of diplomacy” greymane.
Ysera for me, every single time you’ll do that ending and think it won’t get to you, but it does. That’s how I know it’s the one.
I just love killing stuff too much to care.
I’m amused when I death and decay, seeing some critters die too. Then I’m killing some Mogu guys in the assault zone and some deer jump in. “Bad choice, Bambi, you could have fleeeeed!”
How about NPC’s i want or wanted to kill but can’t like Varian (for his treasonous acts at SoO) and his peace loving (and treasonous who gives his every last soldier to Saurfang but can’t help the Night Elves in their moment of need) son Anduin?
I get ya. Metzen was just very good at screaming is all I meant. Pretty sure it was Metzen voicing him. I think.
