I can’t be the only one experiencing this, can I? I have tried to find it on the forums or a way to report it but no luck. I couldn’t even do a “ticket” on it. Ever since Shadowlands came out NPCs get about 1/4 to 1/2 way through a fight and then evade and come back full strength, which means I am at a huge disadvantage and have to start the fight all over even though I may be at 1/2 strength or less. It is almost impossible for me to finish a quest without dying. Can this please be fixed- pretty unfair and making the whole experience in the new release really miserable. This is on a max level demon hunter
I have rarely encountered this issue, aside from a few NPCs that are too close to a wall or are halfway in the dirt. Do you happen to kite the mobs outside of their leash range? How frequently does this happen?
This happens in all areas of the Shadowlands- inside or outside, open ground or limited area- I go to them and am standing right where they normally range. It happens for single mobs or multiple- about 50% of the mobs I encounter. And also, it seems to happen when I am killing with another person too- like it affects anything I target. Sometimes they only seem to run off just a short distance or even right where we are standing they throw up evade and then return to full HP
Do you have any abilities macro’d? Sometimes people have Shadowmeld for example bound to something, or another thing bound that drops combat. This would cause the mob to return back to their home position, as it forces the NPC to drop combat.
I am using exactly what I had in my macro before (which I will check) but this never happened until this release. Also, it is not like I am dropping combat. The NPC actually has the word “evade” on it when it moves back. I never saw that on an NPC until now unless it was stuck inside a rock.
I’m stumped. I’ll look around for you and see if I find anything out!
I appreciate that- I have seen nothing on it anywhere and it’s not like the old days when you could actually call Blizzard on the phone and get resolution.
The only thing I found that could be a fix is somehow queueing for PvP fixes the issue? I have no idea how that would work but it looks like it worked for a few people. This bug looks like its pretty rare.
I think they are talking about a specific NPC evading in a specific instance- not through the whole system.
