Instead of nerfing classes simply because they perform better than others, why not buff the other tanks? It’s not Like VDH is unkillable or something.
You realize high-level, endgame keys are always going to have an optimal comp right? You nerf VDH, it becomes paladin or warrior. They’re not going to start diversifying their groups because Blizzard nerf something.
Because buffing everything means rebalancing all content so as not to trivialise it.
Imagine if all DPS classes spread cleave like fire mages, the raid would be ridiculously more easy.
Nerfing outliers make perfect sense and people just need to accept that’s what happens when one class is much better than the rest.
i don’t think that performance and utility is less worth in lower keys, in fact bad players might need the crutches more than high end groups that can coordinate to overcome anything with whatever they have
Absolutely. Any given low key is much more likely to succeed with a prot paladin, for example. Avenger’s shield and divine toll can make up for the rest of your group not interrupting which is the major failure point in low keys.

This is proof that the meta at the top doesn’t mean it’s the best all the way down the ladder. VDH is the meta tank, but Prot Pal is probably better in lower key pugs because of all the ways it can make up for sub par dps play.
