I voted for it and stand by it. I didn’t want another cat, didn’t care for the Nerubian, wasn’t interested in the caterpillar. The book I worried they’d cheap out on and go with the floating disk model but square, much as I want a flapping book mount.

The tree sounded like the safest and more unique bet so I took it. Can’t wait to have it.

What were the other options, again?

Soaring Spelltome – Neat but niche in that not everyone is really into books as, like… modes of transportation. That, and there’s already a variety of magical mounts, a la the Lorewalker cloud disc, manasabers, the mage class hall mount. This one would’ve been my 2nd choice, most likely.

Nerubian Swarmer – Hard pass. Literally just the bloodswarmer mount from Nazmir/BFA except WotLK themed. That, and when I think “Nerubian”, I think of skittering spider people, not the flying swarmers.

Curious Caterpillar – People saw the gorm mounts and figured it’d be similar to those. Caterpillars don’t exactly have broad appeal, so not surprising this one wasn’t picked.

Gooey Slimesaber – Just what we need. A 90th cat mount, but it would get a pass because it’s a slimy cat instead of a fleshy one. This one would be my 3rd choice, though.

Face it, the Wandering Ancient is unique and that’s what drew people to it. There’s no other mount that is blatantly druidic in design like this. Arguably there’s that moose mount from AotC WoD Archimonde that foreshadowed the Emerald Nightmare, but there’s certainly no plant mounts.

ah nice! If the pets already have the tech to change colors like that no doubt they carried over much of that code for the tree mount. good chance we’ll get changing leaves then :slight_smile:

But we don’t have a tree mount. We have a cat mount, we had many of the other mounts. The only other mount we didn’t have was tree and book. Tree the best.

Looks ok but the novelty will wear off pretty quick. Then the annoyance of people using the gamon toy and all the other junk to make you big while being on this mount will set in. It’s neat sure, but we could all have been riding around on Slime Kitties!

Blizzard, put Slime Kitty mount in the store right meow!

Not all ancients are interested in war or lore, some just want to travel the world! This arboreal nomad has traveled to many places and with each passing season embraces change, both in scenery and in the foliage atop its branches.

Pretty sure the other mounts will show up on vendors or in the store at some point. Tree is free and that’s cool because I like the tree. :hugs: :christmas_tree:
