This post is about solo content. Grouping and finding something to do instead of complaining on the forums about how much you hate the solo content has everything to do with the matter at hand. Whatever point you thought you had is null.
lmao
“Super yikes” indeed…
Yeah it’s amazing how people are like ‘‘but it’s mmo durrr’’.
It literally just means you are in a game with lots of people at the same time.
All types of play-styles.
Perhaps you should look into RPGs instead. They tend to cater more to solo players than an MMO would.
No idea. Don’t play other MMOs.
As a “solo” player you can:
Gear up via ZM
Do WQs for gear/mogs/money/anima
Do your covenant bonus activity (like the Path of Ascension for Kyrian)
Run Torghast (and the bonus wings) for fun/mogs/achieves
Do all the world content and achievements in SL (some give mounts and titles!)
Farm mounts in legacy content
Farm transmog in legacy content
Try the Pet battle content
Quest through all the previous expansions and zones to learn the story
Level professions
Farm gold through various means
Level alts
This isn’t including the boatload of queue-able content you can do too, like LFD, LFR, BGs, timewalking, etc . If that’s not enough for you then that’s a “you” problem, not the game.
I totally disagree that it’s contradictory to want to play an MMORPG and also to be a loner. That’s how I’ve mostly played since Vanilla (on-and-off).
The first time I raided with a guild on a set schedule was during Firelands, and it was really only because my bff wanted to do it, and when he quit I totally lost interest in continuing because I didn’t feel I had much in common with the other members of the guild. (Fortunately they released LFR next patch, which I didn’t really enjoy but it was the only way I could do the content with the amount of effort I was willing to put into communicating with people, which was near zero)
I’ve also only ever done rated PvP when invited by someone I’d known for awhile in-game, and I’ve never done an RBG because only strangers have invited me. Also every single M+ run I’ve done (idk how many I’ve done but you could prob count them on one hand) was because an IRL friend from way back asked me if I could do M+ with him
One of the things I liked about WoD was that you could do BGs all day and not really talk to anyone, and now you can’t do that anymore because you need gear from arena/RBGs
@OP: I think solo shuffle is very fun for a solo player, but there’s prob so many geared people now that it won’t be fun again until the start of the next season
Cool, but none of this is challenging, engaging, or interesting in any capacity
There is more than minding numbing world content/LFR.
There is also mind numbing Torghast.
Why though? Time is money, they’re better off just getting a carry through m+ and raids if they’re “soloers”.
So what do you want?
Solo content that isn’t mindless busywork
Even stuff like LFD/LFR is so easy it’s just a joke
Do you have any suggestions or examples of things you’d want to see implemented?
Every time Blizzard releases actual challenging solo content there’s a huge uproar.
What are you even talking about?
There’s a distinct lack of challenging/fulfilling solo content, imo. Visions/Torghast were a good initial step, but something closer to dungeons/raiding would be even better. Mage Tower was also really good and fun.
I enjoy the endgame group content currently available, but it’s so nice to just be able to pop on for 25 minutes without commiting to a group but still have something to work on.
Mage Tower and the higher layers of the Jailer’s Gauntlet are challenges to be sure. What’s engaging or interesting is subjective but at this point I’m pretty sure you’re just playing the wrong game, go play a single player RPG.
Either open up normal and low keys (maybe up to plus 5) into the random group finder, or make normal the new LFR difficulty and just make heroic and mythic be the raid difficulties
