Not every group is like that. Plus there are communities out there to join to avoid pugging altogether.
Sure you have to persist through some declines but eventually you’ll get into a group and get gear and rating. Trying for a couple hours one day and giving up isn’t going to help anyone.
That is absolutely your fault then. It is all but guaranteed the first week is going to be especially competitive because geared people ALL need to get some established score and even casual play allowed for pretty reasonably passing up the 626 hurdle.
Plus I did a +2 Motherlode as a squeeze in before raid and I started mounted intending to get the first main room of trash figuring without fortified there was no way I would even need cooldowns let alone be in danger and hot damn if I wasn’t in purgatory before even getting dismounted with what I would consider to be a rather medicore to even smallish 1st pull (I had considered going into the room with the disco mobs and doing it all at once).
626 is perfectly reasonable for a m0…but why take 1 or stay in a group with 1 if one doesn’t have to? It isn’t like even 630+ people are a rarity.
what do you expect from a garbage system

If you’re not at least 640iLevel and have a current io of at least 1600 for season 2, I’m not inviting you to my 0’s no matter what spec you are.
The system is great.
People just don’t want to be social anymore today. They want everything handed to them.

I was tanking all m0 on my paladin no problem at 616 lol I was getting invited like that, now I’m 634 but I switch to retri
Here’s something a friend of mine said about PUG Mythic and raid.
“While your ilvl will enable people to have a walk in the park; they don’t WANT a walk in the park, they want to nuke the park from orbit.”

The number of people claiming they require Season 2 Mythic +4 gear and a 2500+ rating from season 1 in order to invite people into content that reqires 620-ish gear and a Season 2 Mythic+ score of zero just blows my mind.

People for pugging Normal raids already asking for like 645 ilvl with AOTC.

Yeah such a huge ilvl jump, people want people who had fully maxed gear from gilded crests. I am a healer and started the day at 622, and I am finally getting faster invites after I did normal raid and got to 630
It’s so insane to me that people would be so selective as to bother worrying about last season heroic gear level or IO rating for M0s that it doesn’t make sense. The amount of people in this thread acting like that’s in any way reasonable is just crazy.
I just got my tank to 635 after a couple of upgrades to my lower ilvl gear and ran a +2 with zero wait at all. The only thing that makes sense to me in regards to OP’s situation isn’t that there’s a massive amount of choice but rather that relatively few people are queuing for M0s. If you’re a high speed, 639 M+ veteran from season 1 you wouldn’t even be bothering with m0s anyway and most of those people are probably already trying to push keys as high as they can.

Don’t be discouraged. I’ve been getting into +2 groups as a healer at 628 so I’m sure you can find some. I go for the shotgun approach, apply to a buncha groups. Works for me. Not like holy pala is meta or anything its pretty low on tier lists but I had a solid first night.
You don’t get IO score for doing M0s.

Correct but your S1 score is still visible and known to people running the RIO addon and once again the overall point is why would someone risk wasting their time on a potential “ok” person when they literally do not have to?
It isn’t a question of can the run be done but rather do I need to take a chance with someone at their gear level and experience (or lack thereof)? If this was the final weeks of S1 then sure groups are desperate enough for someone not on a literal fresh alt but a fresh start of a season? Heck no. Even big boy/girl people are gonna want in those m0 for the chance at gear they can spend crests and valorstones on (especially since it was easy to cap them just doing the basic stuff last week even when they reset) and to get some practical experience with the dungeon.
It’s just practical business. A 626 is pretty medicore in the pug pool at the moment. It’s more odd to hear people leaving a m0 before it begins but I do wonder if it’s because the OP invited exclusively people more geared and experienced than them instead of their own peers and said geared and experienced people knew their gear and experience affords them literally the pick of the litter groups so why run with someone “beneath” them.
If you did KSM last season, you could do the same KSM again on this Season. M0 is cake for KSM players. Why would people gate you?
The Elitists would skip M0 and would go straight to M+2 and above becoz M0 gives no score.
Some people wants to overgear M0. M0 drops 636 gear. Guess what, they want 636 players as minimum for M0 which I find ridiculous. Not all M+ players are ridiculous. Just move forward and keep on looking for other players/group.

I tanked M0 Cinberbrew and Priory today at 612 ilvl not realizing how high average ilvl was. It was nuts but the random people that joined me stuck it out and we cleared both. Never felt this much love and support from random WoW players in my life lmao
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Everyone can ignore this and act like it’s not a fact. It’s not in the room with them all they want.
Go ahead and keep ignoring it until the system completely dies. Which it will.
Mythics will never. Ever be fixed unless you ban and remove all data related addons. The ability to get said data. Al of it. Remove the elitism.
People are not trying to do mythics AS A WHOLE. As a community of players people are NOT doing it because we don’t want to participate in the process of forming groups or getting invited to groups. Period end of story. THAT is the reason why.
Not the difficulty of the dungeon
Not the balance of classes.
Not the tank problem.
Everyone wants to point fingers and blame other issues
If you fixed tanks today. If you fixed XYZ mobs. Or bosses.
NONE of that is going to get us to do mythics. None of it. It’s the community that is killing mythics.

Some of us take off our tinfoil hats occasionally and run Mythic+, DBM blaring warnings the whole time, because we like playing with friends, enjoy the challenge, like seeing our Rating go up, and want the loot/vault slots.
this is the worst take i’ve seen on the forums since the guy that wanted a gold squish
