You're spot on, every expansion they have innovated and bought us something new and shiny, specifically in relation to hero progression.
This expansion feels like an extension of Legion so far and even worse due to the pruning and removal of so many things + the azerite system so far is a poor substitute for what was taken away.
Azerite system is way better than all the systems of legion combined
