Its just an opinion. My one complaint is that less people play 2v2 and 3v3 with shuffle being a thing, because of convenience i suppose. I wish more people played 2s and 3s is all.

I think, there are way more reasons than just convenience why many player prefer solo content.

This is subjective really, some people like oranges, some people like tangerines.
At one point in time the devs themselves mentioned that random bgs had similar participation numbers to Lfr, do you honestly believe Blitz participation is that high lol.
In any case random bgs are a popular game mode that requires little to no dev time dedicated to it, it’s basically free money at this point.
yeah I don’t deny that. Would be cool if blizzard did some player polling from time to time to get our opinions on this type of thing, rather than just having us voice our opinions into the void that is the forums.
I’m guessing no, but only because blitz is ranked, and a lot of random bg enjoyers I imagine thoroughly enjoy the more laid back nature of random bgs. If blitz also had unranked, I would imagine that the participation numbers would be similar.
Definitely subjective though. Personally the last random bg I queued was for the quest, and just the mount speed kinda turned me off from the get go. Then the matchmaking that doesn’t ensure equal healers on each time was a bit of a turnoff. As far as everything else, they are more or less substantially similar (I admit that the strats involved on a couple of blitz maps suck a bit in comparison to the random bg counterparts, mainly just eots though).
Yeah, I’m just curious if unranked blitz would be more popular, especially if all of the same maps are enabled, and then by doing that, we end up with a better way to enjoy chill unranked bgs (e.g., one that is more balanced, one where each player has more agency, etc.).
Removing 2s might be the nail in the coffin to get me to quit tbh.

interesting and fair, that seems to be a popular consensus, especially for healing priest players. I wouldn’t mind the bracket if blizzard made some bracket-specific balance changes for it. At the moment it just feels incredibly rock-paper-scissors and to a point that is also incredibly boring because most specs will auto lose to the meta specs before the gates open (imo).
Otherwise it just feels incredibly degenerate facing almost nothing but holy/disc priest bm hunter, or holy/disc priest arms, or holy/disc priest ww monk, or holy/disc priest sub rogue at a certain point, and knowing that blizzard doesn’t care about the balance in the bracket at all, yet finds it acceptable to let people get all of the rewards from it aside from gladiator. Couple that with how deflated it is relative to the other brackets, and it feels pointless in having it exist outside of perhaps quick capping (if not a meta spec).
I suppose it’s the same issue 3s mains have against shuffle, and I similarly think shuffle should have rewards that are distinct from 3s and blitz, but at least those have some semblance of balance.
In 2s it just doesn’t seem worth pushing in for 2/3 of the specs in the game (or more), but again, I get it if you main a priest healer or perhaps to a lesser extent a rdruid/mw monk.

They should put 2s rewards back in again considering they went and created Blitz and Shuffle and gave them unique ones. More than likely cause players would have complained otherwise. Tbh I think the biggest issue in 2s for Meta comps isn’t that healers are too strong, it’s that there’s less things to offset a non meta comp. I will say queing 3s as non meta feels equally as terrible as non meta 2s if not worse sometimes. Shuffle is whole other story. Whole lobbys feels like trash if it’s a bad mix cause of 1 person often.
It isn’t a perfect bracket by any stretch but it’s so fun and a fantastic learning space for anyone. I know a lot of people get discouraged when they run into priest/hunter or druid/war and all that, but you can still do well with off meta stuff it’s just harder. Which is how the game has always been imo. Wow is also at a point where FOTM reroll is RAMPANT which makes it feel worse imo.

I sometimes like shuffle because you DO get wacky MUs like boomy enh vs mage SP that you’d never really see, but I actually feel like shuffle has just as much “meta slave” rerolling as 3s if not more.

For sure. People like the path of least resistance for things. But it’s not about those people. It’s about the people who don’t want to, or don’t have the time to FoTM reroll. Those are the people Who get to continue to enjoy the game despite meta.
Tbh, They need to just add more colors to sets so there’s incentive to play other brackets. Removing brackets that people enjoy because some others would rather another bracket be more engaging isn’t the play.
Although, this is WoW forums, and people are people… You add more colors you get new threads complaining about not getting all the sets/variations they want on all the classes they play… It’s never enough, is it?

- Rip Arena from the game and have it run on its own gamemode (like plunderstorm) - removes the pve/pvp balancing act

- Make it free to play, no subscription - removes the barrier to entry and lets people try it out more easily

- flood the thing with cash shop vanity items from the decades of assets available to fund a no-sub model - transmog/spell effects/taunts w/e - like in mobas etc.

- No gear, stats can be allocated as you want (like in old rpgs)

- No leveling, you just make a character and its ready to go

- limit action bars to only 10? or so buttons - meaning you can have a million spells in your book, but only 10 can be chosen and used at a time - reducing keybind bloat but maintaining some strategy/customization on loadouts.
Baby steps please… It’s kind of silly to suggest something like this, it’s far too drastic and unrealistic and is obviously not going to happen
Next logical evolution of pvp is merging game modes. Not destroying everything and replacing it with something completely different…

Cant remove 10v10 (15v15 etc) are you living in hole? (sorry i dont mean to be toxic it just comes out sometimes…)
These modes are needed for people leveling and learning or worse yet farming people with worse class / gear / xp / item lvl.
Either way Blizz cant remove those modes, sorry.
Well if they did Blitz mode would need to be changed to be available from 10-Max Level…not just Max level as it is currently.
blitz is way too similar to random bgs, no need for both to exist
