Not re-subbing until RDF Comes back

You’re either lying or you are grossly uninformed on modern code because you still write code in Cobol or Pascal

Lfd was the start of convenience over community, and led to lfr as lfr is essentially just upscaled rdf for 25 man content instead of 5 man content.

Does it really, if 80% of the playerbase wants RDF to exist because wrath feels wrong without it? Sounds like RDF is a pretty important part of WOTLK to most of the playerbase.

If you seriously are going to pretend that the cost necessary to provide a service doesn’t determine how likely a company is to proceed with that path then you are a joke. Simple as that.

There is no scientific poll conducted which demonstrates this number.

Do you not know how many companies still use cobol and pascal because if the cost of migrating to the newer code systems? Its a lot of them.

What community was lost with LFD? Please do tell. I didnt know that LFD made it so you cant talk to people in your group or during your dungeon runs. What community was provided by LFG tools and spamming LFG chat for groups? LFD was implemented in one of the largest content droughts of wotlk and the playerbase continued rising. What statistics do you have to blame LFD for the decline of WoW?

I know that.

That still would skew your perspective on how maintainable and alterable a code base is because of how archaic and trash these languages are.

Man, your ability to read is pretty poor. If that’s what you discerned from what I wrote, you actually are braindead, and not worth my time. Enjoy writing java code for a runescape private server bud.

Did you pull that number straight outta your butt?

Wrath babies and retail tourists are not the playerbase, as the headline of this post clearly shows hahaha

Players who’ve been with the Classic experiment since Classic started are the playerbase. If you wanna play our game, you should, it’s great, but don’t come in and try to turn it into retail 2.

That is true, a content patch that lasted for 1 year.

You’re argument is “blizz had so much monies so they woulda done it anyway there’s no way 90% of the work already being done influenced that decision in anyway”

That’s a subjective opinion. It didn’t affect my community at all. I had all my previous friends and as new people joined my guild I made new friends. I socialized in game with just as many people. If rdf damaged your community your guild must not have been a very strong guild and your friends not very good friends.

Though I used to write in Cobol and Pascal (I hardly remember these days) I mostly code in Python or javascript these days.

Lmao Ive been playing since vanilla and i played classic from day 1, and I still want LFD. Because LFG chat is spam central and a total waste of time. This isnt YOUR game. And it’s funny because just about every poll that has been sourced across these forums related to LFD have shown a near 80% favor towards LFD. You are the minority, playing OUR game. Sit down pup.

Also true, but a disingenuous point. The only reason it was so long is because of delays on the next expansion.

Things moving as normal, RDF would have only been in for like 10-15% of Wrath.

When they add RDF, you don’t have to use it. Or you can go back to vanilla classic.

Come on man if you’re working with modern code like JS then you know simple it is to reuse code for stuff (yes obviously wow isn’t written in JS).

Other than tweaking some object attributes and passing it off to QA LFR was pretty much complete the moment RDF was added and you know that.

I feel like you said otherwise earlier because you just like the RDF.

It doesn’t suck because RDF is in it, it sucks for a very long list of other reasons, too many that I could type here.

Where your RDF at baby?

Oh, I didn’t know I was speaking with an idiot who doesn’t understand bias.

LOOOOL so indignant when you’re clearly playing our game. RDF is not Classic. It’s not coming. Quit.
