Not including LFD is insanity

Don’t forget all the dungeon quests you get while leveling up. They award good XP and gear, so people want to do them.

My friends didn’t start disappearing until Cata. They loved LFD and we queued together many times.

Been binging on leveling characters in tbc last couple weeks. People really think there will be more meaningful dungeon groups formed without LFD?

Majority of what tbc actually is- boosting services to the level cap, people selling their tanking/healing services for normal/heroics, and GDKPs for raiding. Not saying any of that is wrong, but claiming LFD will “ruin my gaming experience!” is pretty odd. Unless by meaningful gaming relationships you actually mean, meaningful financial transactions. Then it makes sense.

Apparently his definition of friends is people who only do dungeons with him because they have no other choice.

But you’re absolutely right. If you have 2 or 3 buddies online and you guys want to do some dungeons…what’s better: queueing with dungeon finder to fill out the rest of the group. Or spending hours spamming the lfg channel, wading through the endless boosting services only to be denied by some tank because your gear isn’t up to snuff…for a Wrath dungeon.

Only a fool would think removing dungeon finder isn’t devastating to the success of the game. So I just don’t understand this decision by the ‘devs’. They seem to only value boosters, bots and the gdkp crowd. Everyone else can get bent…but buy your boost first!!

No, not really people asking for Classic had a different reason in mind, it was either to go back and play the game again as it once was or to experience it because you didn’t play OG classic during 2004 to 2006.

I have said this in another post, LFD had little impact on the game’s health and didn’t ruin the game for me at all, if was that bad as you say, than why did retail still thrived? FFXIV has LFD and yet you would hear so much praises that the game has?

There are some folks that flocked to Classic or even to other MMOs because there are so many bad design decisions that has been happening to Retail WoW lately and sorry but LFD is not one of them.

While I’m with you, the people asking for Classic to a large degree isn’t the same crowd that is currently playing.

I’d even venture to say that to a some degree, people that played Classic Vanilla weren’t those that were clamoring for it either. Classic Vanilla was like, Frozen Yogurt.

That’s entirely what it is. Brian and company just don’t have the moral fortitude to be honest on the subject.

They are probably making the logical leap of rep from ZM dailies for expanded lego functionality. which is not really mandatory.

If you are happy with your belt and your 2nd lego on another slot have at it.

Boreghast is a run and done deal. get your ash…empower lego. call it over. I have stated many times for SL I would have preferred we got ash in dungeon/raid as well.

they made this the only source of ash since except for pet/item collectors way less people would go here otherwise. No ash exclusivity it would have been a DOA feature really.

Vanilla was lightning in a bottle and people with half a brain knew classic could not be.

Vanilla was great for its time, I knew I wouldn’t like it now though. And quite frankly, I didn’t like it.

I enjoyed playing Classic Era as I never played Vanilla and always regrated it. Do I want to go back? No, once was enough. It’s the same with TBC. Now Wrath is when I stated playing, and I always wanted to go back.

LFD is a wrath feature, go to classic era servers if you don’t want those features? kek

I just flag those trolls now. Telling people to go play Retail because you want a system that was added back in Wrath. There’s only one reason a person says something like that.

People still find dungeons in classic via LFG chat which creates player interaction. I made many friends and joined and guild which is super active.
Played 100hrs of retail… had almost zero interaction with other players and got bored of LFD zoning me in and out. The community exists, your just not part of it due to how you act. Obviously

Do you mainly want LFD because your to lazy to walk to the dungeon or incapable of typing to other players?

No, I want LFD in order to bypass all the sweaty meta slave gatekeepers.

Best course of action really.

LFD doens’t even cover end game retail play lol.

Mythic is not in lfd. only leveling normal. and heroic. which imo isn’t very heroic. its gear hasn’t been relevant since 9.0. It cleared LFR ilevel for season 1. about all it had for it. So did 7/7 pvp honor gear. which you could get faster and more reliably if desired. As rng was rough as hell most times.

No.
I want RDF because I don’t want to spend 3-4 hours recruiting 2 people and spend a further 1 hour in a dungeon that would take less than 30 with a full group and have to add all the guys who say “I’ll take you through the dungeon for 5 gold” and “Just level up and solo it” to ignore list.

RDF makes doing low level dungeons a little more convenient.
Otherwise it’s spam the ever loving crap out of a chat for god knows how long only to get trolled to death or have people lower than the necessary level wanting you to drag them through it while contributing next to nothing to the run itself.

There is no downside to having the RDF in WoW.
Even if it was added in the very beginning of Classic it still wouldn’t have made the game any less social than it already is.
I’m guessing Blizzard is just too lazy to add it in and is more interested in character boosts than having people enjoy the game.
Casual and hardcore alike.
