Not a problem. I can make my own key, and the off-meta covenants can join me. Because my covenant will not be the M+ meta covenant. I’ve got other goals for my covenant.

with how raid io shows us that people wont take people at a certain io level then majority of the groups will not be taking anyone with the wrong covenant.

Not everyone will be Venthyr. And here’s the thing; the trash skips only work if everyone can do them. So either everyone in top level M+ groups are Venthyr, or have the tools to keep up with them.
And if you can’t play on that level, then by rights you have no grounds to request group members of that level.
You’ll have two levels of players in group finder. On meta and off meta. It sounds like you’re committed to maxing our M+. That’s good. Likely you’ll only be grouping with others committed to maxing out M+. That’s also good. You’re damn near guaranteed to get groups that fit your needs. That’s still good.
The rest of us can’t afford to be demanding specific covenants (again, the meta boys will be grouping with you), and so we’ll have to deal. Not everyone CAN be Venthyr. There will be a lot of raiders and arena junkies who can’t or won’t give up their covenant to that extent, and will be forced to group off meta. They’ll have to group non meta. It all cleans out in the end.
And if for some reason Venthyr ISN’T the Mythic+ covenant, it’s actually XYZ, it doesn’t matter. The result stays the same.
Everyone gets their group.
You have every right to be as exclusive as you need to be when forming your groups. That’s a given for everyone. My question is why do you feel the need to make a topic to declare this instead of testing things out in beta?
Even a completed 18 is more than the vast majority of the player Base can even do
ROOT WORD completed, Ralph hasnt. He botched it.
