Who is eligible for this? Sounded like it’s supposed to pop for everyone…
A guildmate said he got enough for a full rank (4200) in a T11 clear (so 4875 overall), but I’m sitting here… doing T8 and T11 Bountifuls on the 2nd character and nothing like this happens to them.

Yeah they did something really messed up and have apparently tied Journey progress to actually using that key.
I didn’t get progress either until I unlocked the box with the key then I did. Why blizzard made this change who knows but it’s a really freaking stupid change.

As in, the compensation they are giving us requires opening our next Bountiful chest?
They instituted whatever fix they were doing, because when I logged in this morning, was over delver’s rank 2 (and I wasn’t last evening). Also of note: I just did a bountiful quest, used one of the items I had to summon Kyveza, she killed me, and she dropped the delver’s bounty map for me. I used it and had the hidden chest at the end, which gave me a piece of heroic gear. So it appears to be working now.
OMG!! I’ve done 3 delves including a 1500 quest turn in. With the extra you all “granted” I’m now at 4200. My guildees that did 0, none, nodda,… delves are at 6900. Once they turn in their 1500 they will be at 8400 twice mine. Really??? fix your formulas please!!!

Aside from what seems to be STILL bugged Delve journey xp despite the “Fixed an issue when completing bountiful delves not granting any progress towards delver’s journey”
I grinded to level 2 delvers and was already lvl 2 and then did multiple 11’s on 6 toons before the fix. After the fix, I was roughly 1200 shy of unlocking lvl 3 and I dont know how much or little xp i had past lvl 2 before the fix went out. But I have friends that got twice as much and basically unlocked lvl 1 and 2 with the amount of xp they got and did a fraction of the delves that ive done.
XP from completion is not the same as XP from bountiful chest xp loot
Does the completion xp get awarded from completion like brann xp or is it supposed to be in the unlocked regular loot chest?

Yesterday it seems to be fixed, started gaining DJ for completing a bountiful, but today is back to being bugged, only getting Journey for oppening the bountiful chest + nemesis chest (425 on T11)

Completion XP was maybe working for 1 day, now it seems to be bugged again.
Last night, I did a T8 and only got 200 (Bountiful Coffer) + 80 (Nemesis Strongbox), and today, a T11 with only 300 + 125, no more Journey for completion.
Got compensation on my first login today, it was 2700 for me.

Getting even more weird…
- Similar to Kixxa’s experience, a guild mate who didn’t touch any Bountiful Delves this week, logged in today finding themselves at 6900/42000. That’s already the second player in my guild who got 4200 extra, while I only received 2700 compensation on my first login today.
- I cleared a T11 Bountiful with this guildmate, and they got 675 Journey, while I only got 425 (so without the 250 for completion)
The only difference: My Brann is already Level 100, but that shouldn’t matter at all for the Journey gains.
On top of that, one of them (Brann not 100 yet) continued doing T11 BDelves (obviously with 675 every time) and reached Stage 4 of the Journey and now Journey gains stopped for them completely.
So, we probably have a weird mid-season cap like in S2 for a few days, one that is nowhere shown or communicated (I experienced this during 11.2 PTR testing as well)

When is the compensation coming? Have guildmates who are fresh to 11.2 starting on 7k journey, and us who have been grinding getting nothing.

Hello? We just going to miss a week of a potential hero piece cause you guys can’t figure out how to give delve journey credit…? Or, is this system… one that the people who work get barely anything and it is given to those that don’t work (aka communism), the new blizzard model? Cause I can log off and come back in a few weeks and see how much stuff I get by not doing content… Even just an acknowledgement you are aware and working on the problem would be nice.

I was just wondering why I am suddenly capped at renown 4…
I started season 2 three weeks after it launched so maybe didn’t notice this was ever a thing before.
But meanwhile, the sweats are already parading around Dornogal with their KSM mounts…
…pretty much confirms my theory that Blizz wants us playing the game the way they think we should: endless mythic+ keys.
There have always been limits but they’re pretty generous so you probably didn’t notice last season due to starting late. In both s1 and s2 it took around 2 weeks to max out.

Thanks for the confirmation. Still, Blizzard needs to communicate that better. Blizzard needs to let us just the play the game we all pay the same subscription fee for. If I want to no life T11 delves the way a mythic plus-er does with keystone dungeons then I should be able to do that—capping progress for one group of players but not another is a game philosophy reminiscent of the FTP/PTW MMOs I used to play. Again, we all pay to test and play WoW.

Can we get an update on why those of us that have run 10+ Tier 11’s are behind people who’ve logged in and turned in a single tier 8 this week? It’s incredibly frustrating for those of us that try to optimize to be punished for playing the during the first few days of a patch.

Very convenient “bug.” I’ve been spending a ton of time working to reach that point, even helping a friend unlock tier 8 delves, only to realize he was already at the second part of the season’s journey despite doing much less than me and not even having cleared tier 11s yet. I did all relevant quests as well as 16 delves last week and 9 this week.

/I got that on Friday or Saturday last week after the emergency maintenance. I the/n kept getting progress towards the Delvers journey as intended. But as of today the 18/08/2025, I did a bountiful and it only gave me enough xp towards the delvers journey to hit rank 4. As soon as I hit rank 4 of the delvers journey, bountiful delves stopped giving me xp towards the delvers journey.

I’m still not even Delver’s journey 2 and I’ve been completing all my bountiful tier 11 delves. Others, who have only done up to 8, are a full 1-2 ranks ahead of me…
I’m not exactly spamming delves, but I haven’t even hit step 2. Not even especially close, in fact.
If I had received any kind of boost, that wouldn’t be the case.
