That is if you care about the endgame.
I remember a couple of fun quest chains that made absolutely no sense from any type of efficiency perspective. One was to track down the “Scythe of Elune” which sent you all the way from Ashenvale to Darkshire, via Booty Bay. Another was to get your Sprite pet, which involved travelling from Feralas to Hinterlands. You’re either the kind of person who wants to do that, or you aren’t. To put it incredibly mildly, you don’t run across much of that kind of thing levelling in BfA.
