As a general rule of thumb, expansions that don’t add a new class suck.
offtopic but that guy has some serious issues…
though you know he’ll be happy with anything that comes out ![]()
I’m excited for it. While I’m pretty nonplussed about the earthen being playable the zones all look cool and distinct. I’m most excited to mingle with the arathi, find out what their deal is. Ancient human kingdoms were cool as hell, so they should be cool and a bit weird.
I agree I’m excited for a lot of it, but confused about the earthen allied race decision. at least add two allied races, one that we don’t already have sort of with the dark irons.
Honest question, is excited just the replacement word for ''interested, ‘’ or ‘‘looking forward to it’’. I always imagine excited being ‘‘heck ya [ tos rules] this is gonna be awesome’’ type excited. I feel that isn’t the case with a lot of you.
2.5 hours of questing followed by Mythic+ and Raids.
That’s it. That’s the game.
Delves will be a thing but we’ll have to see how lucrative they are, if they have lockouts, if they’re interesting to play through or not, etc.
And how many times Blizzard changes it before launch when it ends up going from ‘‘this is cool’’ in testing to ‘‘what the hell did you do blizzard’’ lol
Very valid concerns tbh
I have the same concerns myself, if the whole expansion turn out being “one giant Zaralek Caverns” then it might be time to take a break or something lol
I don’t react that way to anything. My excitement doesn’t need any sort of bombast.
That sounds like some posh way of internalizing said excitement lol
slow clap "this is getting me excited to play’’ ![]()
Said in the most dullest way possible.
It will be interesting to see how that goes over with people. This expansion was obviously well under way when they released ZC, and i think it’s safe to say ZC wasn’t very well received. I wonder if that caused them to shift in their seats over the plans for TWW a bit, and if it prompted any sort of quick changes.
I am disappointed that they are keeping work orders. I will play it but most of my time will be in old farming stuff to sell.
From the looks of it, most of it isn’t decorated with assets to make it feel under ground. It’s a bio dome of sorts. The first mini zone is above ground, the rest is underground.
I assume the last zone will be fully zaralek-y with the lead up to the nerubian raid.
Nothing like compact zones built underground to be made to look like it is above ground. I donno… I just don’t like this small template design and I don’t like underground zones.
Blizzard ain’t good with underground zones, let alone above ground zones so to speak.
its a stepping stone into the big stuff in 12.0 and 13.0
I swear, they should have just let that be some side thing to get BOP items crafted to wear. Handcuffing it yet again to professions is just a big no from me.
I’d say their track record is mixed. I love the hell out of deepholm. But that place felt a lot less cramped than ZC.
You would be correct
Personally I only visited the zone for like 2-3 weeks total and never went down there again other than to maybe run a quick Dragonrace for the 500g goldbag. The highest rep I ended up with was renown 12 with the Niffins people
It really is a pretty dead zone, I imagine a lot of players had the same experience as me (visited the zone for like 2 weeks, then never went back down, or barely returned)
If their plan is to design an entire expansion as “one giant Zaralek Caverns” I don’t think players are going to like that judging by how we now know ZC was a flopped zone after all was said and done
Obligatory “Do you not have phones?!?!?!?”

Deepholm was ok for me, not a fan.
Mixed reaction sure… it is why I think they are doing bio domes underground in TWW. so it isn’t just one dark mass or dark colors as you pass through that also feels claustrophobic at times from a design perspective.
More than me ![]()
I think it was just a day here, bits of minutes sporadically to do some stuff [campaign and professions ] then noped out even then. Something about that zone is just not enjoyable.
Their above-ground zones are solid for the most part… it’s when they try their hand at these “unconventional” ideas such as underwater zones or underground zones that they struggle to get it right/fall on their faces/flop
Even their “cosmic” setting that they slapped together for 9.2 was OK, Zereth Mortis was a strange/unusual zone - but it was also wide open and never felt “cramped” or anything like that
