That’s a funny analogy considering no one is telling anyone to get off their “lawn” except the “STOP POSTING CLASSIC TOPICS ON THE RETAIL-ONLY FORUMS” But please feel free to point out where I told people to stop posting on my “lawn”
What anger? Why do you Blizzard Internet Defense Force members get up in arms every time someone criticizes Blizzard? Me telling Blizzard that I think their decisions are poorly thought out and bad doesn’t somehow denote “anger”
Once, again, this is patently and demonstrably false. It’s really funny how you “Classic posting isn’t allowed here!” posters conveniently have a hole in your memory about Blizzard DIRECTLY posting about classic…RIGHT HERE.
Yeah because a robot posted that. Are you serious? Are you really going to sit here and tell me that a Blizzard employee did not post about Classic on the General Forums? That some automated system beyond Blizzard’s control “automatically” posted some… computer generated forum post about classic onto the General Forums? And that this was done without anyone on the Blizzard payroll approving it? This is borderline delusional gaslighting.
They’re not great at all. They’re stupid and unnecessary.
Since when? That’s news to me. I’m still getting the same stuff and I opened one just last night. If they’re nerfing them then that’s great. But they shouldn’t have added them into the game in the first place and should just remove them. Or are you talking about the dungeon equivalent?
Must have been a recent stealth nerf because I have only gotten health/mana pots, low quality regen food, and worthless scrolls from everyone single one of my heroic boxes during my world tour today. Not a single flask or elixir.
So congrats dps, you’ve eliminated every incentive for tanks and healers to keep running heroics after they get their badge gear.
As tank and healer, I don’t need incentive to do it.
If Devs wants to encourage others people to tank/heal, just put the second specs at 100Gs instead of 1000Gs.
At least it won’t destroy a profession doing it.
Those boxes are the worst things they ever introduced in the game.
It’s sad that these bags exist. I wish Blizzard would stop putting crap like this in our game. First it’s an XP buff. Now it’s bonus loot bags on most quests. Leveling was already a joke at this point. It didn’t need to be made even easier. Just in 1 zone you’ll vendor HUNDREDS of food and water. You’ll have more drugs/scrolls than you know what to do with. All of these things are supposed to be made by professions or sold on vendors, not just handed out. That buff and these boxes are symptoms of the cancer that ruined retail. They don’t belong here, and no one true to the original games would ever support them. Only retail tourists support these things.
Maybe you dont, but it’s very clear to everyone who has ever played this game that tanks and healers are always in demand for dungeon groups. Bonus loot has existed since implemented to bring in more tanks and healers.
The nerf completely killed any incentive. No one wants or needs the junk from the boxes now. So again, good luck forming groups later when tanks and healers have their gear.
Blizzard’s is filled with inconsistent standards and employees who don’t follow any set guidelines. Meanwhile my last 3 posts about classic were never moved from the general forums. Doesn’t change the fact that I’m going to keep posting about classic WoW on the WoW forums. And so will Blizzard, I’m guessing
It’s an exaggeration because retail quests give you tons of gold and then something else and then something else and then an epic and then probably a blue weapon too and a talent point. Meanwhile vanilla classic just gives you one green every 10 quests or so and usually it doesn’t actually help your class. And that creates scarcity which makes you actually feel excited when you finally get something that actually is an upgrade
No they are not useless clutter. The fact that the bags exist make the items useless clutter. Because everyone has tons of these items laying around.
Exlixir of Mighty Agility is a great consumable when you don’t want a full blown flask for instance. People craft them, and they are sold and bought. But now they’re vendor trash.
Think you’re just upset about them filling your bags.
Are they annoying?
Yes.
Are they 100g each time.
No lol.
They don’t even give flasks as often as you claim they’re specifically designed to be least likely to drop. You’re likely getting tons of bad elixirs and some scrolls and food you delete.
They should be removed but I understand them trying something new.
They can be useful some times if you want to take on an elite alone you scour your bags and try to buff yourself as well as you can but don’t be hyperbolic when requesting a change from blizzard. That’s how they get the wrong message of what we want from them.
I’ve literally never gotten a flask out of my adventuring supplies. I am positive they do not drop them.
They drop a bunch of the leveling elixirs that people otherwise wouldn’t touch or have made or use.
But they do not drop flasks… they drop an oscene amount of non-northrend food/water though. Would be better if these were at least northrend quality food and water.
I do have a ton of mana potions, but I also now can feel like I can freely use them while questing so it’s not too bad.
Really, it’s not authentic, but very little about wrath is anymore. So I don’t see the point in complaining about little grab bags of bonuses for people who actually do quests.
