So, what noob moments have you experienced in classic? I didn’t realize you scrolled down the page to learn spells… got all the way to level 20 with only training spells in holy. It was such a /facepalm moment for me
Learning that the aggro radius is a tad larger has been my major issue. lol
Can’t just zip around a rock hugging it tightly to try and get past something that out-level’s you by a SKULL in Classic like you can in retail. hahaha
I was victim of the classic ore node single clicking. It took me a couple to realize that I could keep harvesting for a few more.
Also, I knew how deadly the Fargodeep Mine could be to cloth and leather wearers if they weren’t careful, and I wasn’t careful. The first couple of days I had gotten used to the mob of players keeping it cleaned out, so on my next alt I basically ran in. Unfortunately, that was just an hour after the first Rag drop, and apparently a lot of players logged off my server then. Bonk, fighting 2 kobolds while another 2 re-popped, I was a goner.
My noob moment is realizing I know nothing about getting around azeroth without the boats in stormwind
I was fighting one of the crabs off of Echo Islands. The fight was going well until suddenly the stupid crab started doing an insane amount of damage. After rezzing I remembered the combat log and looked through to find that it wasn’t the crab who had killed me, but that I had actually drowned.
I forgot new rank spells were considered new spells that you need to swap out on your action bar. For a few minutes I could not grasp why my frostbolt did the same damage, even though I bought the new spell rank! Lol
I forgot about weapon masters and had been waiting for my trainer to teach me two handed.
I keep forgetting to change out new ranks of spells I already know D:
Using poly on a mob that had reflect on it from those Arcane Nullifiers in Gnomer…was sheeped for 30s. Also not learning from my mistake, killed myself that way too.
Haven’t really had one yet. Ive had to stop and think hard about certain things, like how to get to Darnassus from EK, and where i learned 225 cooking ( i was correct it was a book, but had to look up location) but other than stuff like that I’ve done well.
I got to 15 before remembering how Beast Training actually works. The Org pet trainer is hidden away from the Hunter trainer, so I never saw her. I didn’t figure it out until I hit TB.
as warrior trying to escape a mob +4 lvl higher, trying to desperately use hamstring so i could escape,
never got enough rage to apply it before death was inevitable,
from then on it was, just keep running, don’t try anything.
I totally forgot that as a Miner I could smelt my own ore to help level it faster. Lost a lot of leveling potential early on.
Also, single clicking a node and walking away…
I got lost in the Park in SW because I’d completely forgotten there was no harbor.
Wife dinged level 20 and went to the skill trainer and nothing was there, just a quest.
Went to iron forge to get the quest complete and still nothing.
Come to find out she had available skills turned off as well as unavailable.

I thought you got talents at level 20, and made it to level 17 before training any of them.
-
I keep turning left when I enter the SW bank, only to stare at a blank wall…
-
Couldn’t figure out where the AH went in SW.
-
On auto run, I fell into the IF pit.
My newbiest moment is looking for the zep to TB. (I’m still looking.)
Spell ranks already mentioned. Did it. Was not fun. Fargoddeep mine with rank 1 fireball is aweful.
Things I forgot:
The fast respawn rates of some mobs. Kobolds respawn 1 minute after take down.
crafting, looting chests, they all take the same amount of time. Good luck getting into that chest that has kobolds near it.
murloc villages pull as one, from across the zone, while you are in town, and the guards will not come to your aid.
Princess requires CC
The furlbog cave near dolonaar is the hardest cave in a started area, even more so than the kobolds. Its large, has multiple paths, and quests, and the mobs can HEAL THEMSELVES.
Oakenscowl hits harder than hogger
Ran into stormwind and forgot what a piece of crap art the minimap was in that city. The castle itself has weird bridges on top, and is covered by a giant gray rock for some reason. The dwarven district. Where the bank is in retail, is actually has a long hallway to a awesomely decorated empty room, that screams potential but nothing is there.
Finally, I forgot how aweful pugs were. If you don’t out level the instance you are not invited. If you want gear you are not invited. Had a tank get kicked because he was after gear, he was literally told to learn to play, and then booted. Had a dps pull mobs onto us and then leave because the tank couldn’t hold aggro on mobs, but he forgot that AOE tanking is hard as hell in classic and that you need to let sunders happen before DPSing. HE also forgot he got ported back to his hearth location. The wisp I got asking for a reinvite was hilarious because he forgot there is no LFG tool.
edit: sorry for the bad spelling…
I keep forgetting to spend talent points gor about the first fourth of my new level.
I keep running around completely zoning out for long periods of time without completing any quests/partially doing them
