I’ve played in the beta almost exclusively for the last three months, and dragon riding VERY quickly comes to feel like second nature. It is significantly faster than regular flying, and it wasn’t long before I found normal flying mounts to be frustratingly slow.
Don’t knock it until you’ve given it an honest, fair shake.

It’s like half of the people suddenly turn into grandmothers who can’t tell the difference between an Xbox Series X or an Xbox 1 X and blame them for not being specific, instead of actually listening or researching what they are talking about. And while i joke about that, some people are sadly actually like that.
Some even, i kid you not, think Normal Flying and Dragonriding are the same thing and think you have to experience it in order to see the difference. And their reasons they gave for it was… baffling, that it must be trolling.
One being “Oh you control both with Mouse and Keyboard, therefore it’s the same!”… You can explain to them why their wrong and why this line of reasoning is objectively wrong, but they will never listen. 
They were asking for IMMEDIATE flying.
Don’t gaslight me like I have never visited these forums, FFS.

Yes, there were some who were like… “can we make it slightly less restrictive?” I am one of those. I Don’t think it should have been day one but I also don’t think it should have been artificially time gated.
But that’s the minority, most of the crybabies wanted it day one.
For immediate regular flying. Don’t act like you don’t know what they meant. There was no dragon riding at the time. It didn’t exist. So they certainly didn’t mean that.
No one is gaslighting you. And you certainly visited here before if you knew what people were saying before.
And you are crying about them.
People just want to complain to be heard I feel. No one is ever happy and they express their voice because society is soft.
I predict this will become an issue later in the expansion. Players will demand normal flight be increased from 310% to somewhere around 500% after they experience the dragon speed.
All flying should be done through this new feature, imo. And while we’re talking about mounts can we make them not appear out of thin air?
What’s wrong with dragon riding … it’s more realistic than regular flying . Only insects fly the way our flying mounts operate now . Dragon riding is the way the birds fly
Dragon riding is gliding more so than flying and for anyone with depth perception issues or other issues, it can be a challenge. Because you can’t hover and land accurately.
It won’t be for everyone. Also there aren’t current plans to have regular flying so that means no regular flying mounts or druid flying forms in the Dragon Isles.
What are you doing?

exactly but… that happens in EVERY game and i am a paid tester in another one that suffers from same issues. people are not happy unless they think the games are built/designed for themselves. 
Pretty sure its the generation raised by Grandma and Grandpa, cause pops went to the store for smokes and never came back.

They’ll shut up once they actually have dragonriding upgraded.
Otherwise, they’re bad and should be ignored.
Yeah, they can do this, and then they’ll put the entire expansion indoors.
Like, there are gameplay reasons to not have flying. It’s just that players don’t like those reasons.
Both options should exist. Blizz deserves all the whining.
