How’s come Blizzard hasn’t made it so that affliction doesn’t need to use their demons? Marksman hunters can take lone wolf and not have to use their pets when they fight. why can’t an affliction warlock or a destro warlock do that?

Like Eviaeline said use Grimoire of Sacrifice. It was move around out of your Warlock talents directly into the Spec talent… I had a hard time looking for Destro one… until I was pointed out were in the Talent Tree to look.
I wish I could use that Grimoire of Sacrifice with Demonology to get back Dark Apotheosis! Then in Dark Apotheosis all your Summon Demon Spells would change to DPS spells…almost like a hidden 4th spec!
Sigh one can only dream. lol 
I wish destro didnt have to use demons.
It ruins the aesthetic and immersion for me. To me, destro’s power should come from the warlock themself. The only acceptable one would be infernal I guess.

I agree.
Destro became too focused around summoning Infernals, I miss when it was all about ominous Chaos Bolts coming at you. The Infernal CD was ok but then it became summoning a bunch of them.
Sometimes I’m watching Destro footage from TWW and they look like a Demo lock, especially when running Diabolist.

Yep and it seems like diabolist is overtuned right now so we’re gonna have to play it.

Well to me it always is… but this really depends on your preference of gameplay.
I heavily dislike gameplay that depends on pets doing most of your damage (as you can guess since I constantly saying I miss the old Warlocks Metamorphosis 
)… I’m ok with something summoned from time to time like how Death Knight Unholy Works… DK don’t need pets to do all its damage, it’s just part of it or at least that’s how I see it and it feels to me. You can even surprise your opponent by blowing your pet up for huge dmg and have a big heal up for a comeback, in PvP that never grows old! (IMO)
Also I like the class fantasy where I can consume a Demon and use its power (wish it would add some VFX persistent Aura or animation around you to it but thats me being picky lol). Love the passive damage however small or large in gameplay too.
Does are my personal reasons… However if I would love pets gameplay? I go Summoners embrace hands down.
So to me it’s a choice of playstyle more than anything really.
