Maybe if it was some kind of combat bard who follows you around and played your theme song
Not even 14 would even have something like that unless you’re referring to the crafting system.
Even then you still kinda need to go into combat for materials.
WoW is a game designed around the concept you lvl by going out and killing things, its not an open world sandbox game like Archage, Ark, or Atlas, really wish blizz would stop trying to pretend like it was. If they made a new game maybe yeah we could see these things but wows engine was designed off the concept you pick a combat class for your character and you go kill something for a reward to level your character. Its not a game for pacifists.
I think it would be a completely different style of game. I mean you wouldn’t need gear if you were a boat driver, but you would want to upgrade your boat.
Instead of having flight paths with automatic routes you could have someone with 2 person mount thst flies you for gold and they can upgrade their speed and space
I can think of a few things but i feel it would be boring to me
It might become boring to you but every class becomes boring to everybody even if they are combat so it’s good just to have something that you can do when your bored with your regular class to try something completely different
to be fair the original design of wow was not meant for people to turn into such altaholics, the game just slowly progressed in that direction over the years as people wanted more freedom to injoy more classes without rerolling toons. Lvling a character in original wow took upwards to 6 months to do, wasnt exactly the sort of thing you’d just wake up and say “i want to have a warrior now that i lvled my pally”, the story content has always been pretty on the rails…
The entire game is fundamentally designed around killing mobs. You don’t shoe horn a class that counters the fundamental design cores of a game. That’s asking for a convoluted and mediocre experience.
What you’re asking is for a class that can avoid all combat in a game who’s entire structure revolves around combat. You want a different game at that point.
pretty much this, Wow isnt designed for the amount of in depth non combat play op is asking for.
Octopath Traveler has a Merchant class. It does have some attacks, but it’s better as a support role like being able to provide combo points to other party members, hiring different levels of bodyguards depending on the amount of currency being provided, generally buffing party members, etc.
It’s definitely more of a support role, like a bard would be. That being said, I’m not sure how Blizzard would implement a class without any combat skills without giving them a completely unique leveling system.
SWG had dancers and musicians that performed in cantinas. Players would go to cantinas to watch/listen in order to get buffs.
Exactly this. I couldn’t have said it better myself. WoW has made half hearted attempts at stuff like this (sort of) and players either actively avoided it or complained that they had to grind it out because blizzard buried some carrot in there that the rest of the player base wants.
Atlas is designed around the concept of go anywhere and do what you want, and it is an mmo open world sandbox.
In the game project Gorgon you could get instruments and play them with each other and then people could dance to the music and the music gave you a buff and so did the dancing
Same thing in Atlas, you spec into music allowing you to play more difficult music sheets with an instrument, other players can dance their toons to the music you play which further increases the buff. Me personally, i loved building ships in atlas, i specced into shipwright so my whole job in my company was designing different ships for different jobs.
Well, EXP (Level) = Time.
Enter the Chronomancer class who levels up via watching paint dry.
Pet Battles already exist
50,000 buttons a second
if you can’t make a point without hyperbole then it isn’t worth making at all
Yawn…
I heard DH only had 2 buttons. Maybe that might work.
