Nokhud Offensive M+ last boss Quaking wipe

Just ran a Nok 21 - cruising through it - get to Balakhar Khan with a cozy 7-8 mins left, and what does he do? He static spears us in his last phase right as quaking goes off…

I love wasting 30-40 mins of my time and lose a key run because of this kind of constant oversight by Biizz with their M+ affixes… fix this asap please.

The other one that felt crappy last week was how the birds before Crawth in AA bolstered the big ones that had nearly 10x more hp than them.

(I’m not sure where the proper place to post this topic is, because it feels like Blizzard actively tries to make their support and ticket systems unintuitive - likely because they don’t have enough staff to deal with them all)

Oh man thats horrid rng , they really should make it so a timed mechanic cant wipe you because of another timed mechanic being stacked.

I just read their Blue hotfix topic at the top of this forum - where they say they fixed the Nokhud quaking wipe issue… Clearly they have not though, as my group’s wipe happened 24 mins ago

oh the fun thing last week is the adds the infested sha spurt out can bolster and kill everyone when they explode

Many M+ affixes are inflexible, tedious and annoying. I made a list awhile back of potentially new ones, but can’t remember if I actually posted them or not…may have been one of those “they won’t do it anyways” sulky boi moments followed by deletion.

One potential change to quaking I’d like to see, is having ONE person getting it, but it will expand over its duration a good chunk. If everyone gets hit by it, it’s still a lot of damage + interrupt, but not enough to wipe the group on its own.

That was off the top of my head though, so now I need to go through boss events in my head to imagine how it’d actually turn out…

Hyrja circle would still be doable with the quaking on the far side.
Fenryr’s AoE split can still be done with 4 people (not gonna speak of 20+ tyran. Can’t say.)
Skovald…well I think quaking is garbage here anyway.

No matter what fight I think of, my version is better. But I’m biased.

I’d agree if I ran M+ with a consistent group over comms. Unfortunately that is not the case and the public doesn’t have this coordination and muscle memory

Woops wrong character. Not that it matters.

I may as well list affixes I like:

  1. Spiteful. Doesn’t appear on bosses, and has plenty of counterplay (except the DPS in my group insist on facetanking them 75% of the time. Not joking.)
  2. Volcanic. Intrusive, but not the primary difficulty in a dungeon.
  3. Sanguine. The main issue here, are mobs who aren’t interruptible OR pushable. Getting mobs out of it as a tank, or with a pushback/ring of peace is completely manageable…but you’re punished a lot if you don’t. Doesn’t ruin boss fights.
  4. Raging. Unlike Bolstering, it doesn’t get to the point of “oh wtf run” just because you pulled more than one pack. It’s basically a sensical bolstering that gives players something to work with rather than throwing crap at them and going “GOODLUCK”…like storming…

Storming sucks because it’s just annoying. I have ideas for this but whatever.

Explosive sucks because it’s tedious and on mobile bosses is just rigged against the healer.

Dealing with this today in multiple runs is currently what’s inspiring my passive crusade.

The face tanking is annoying, but breaking my mass entangles and then face tanking is insult to injury and happens entirely too much

has a few keys bricked caz of an afix that need to be stacked/not stacked at the same time as a boss attack that needs the opposite. it gets very old very fast when you need to spread but thundering is also going off, making you need to stack with a buddy

its like the devs didnt fully think out how the afixs would work with certain bosses. but hay, small indie company

I am not shocked one bit. Just look at how stupid sanguine weeks are. Blizz designed countless mobs in dungeons this xpac that refuse to move, even when interrupting their chain casting just standing in a pool while they heal back to full.

Your bad RNG is infuriating too, but just straight up bad design like what I said above is just crazy stupid.

So many affixes are awful, poorly designed, and just ruin the fun. Quaking is one of those super annoying ones. SO many times it gets me during a Convoke that I can’t stop.

I literally just wiped twice to the last boss to the same spear + quaking mechanic. It happened at the exact same time in the last phase with the boss near death. This is horrendous and should of been hotfixed immediately. Do not run Nokhud this week until it’s fixed, your warning.
