No, We Don't All Want Dual-Spec Added to BC

Why you speaking French? What’s this we nonsense about?

FF11 and FF14 allows you to change your class entirely, and are still better RPGs than WoW ever was. Players against dual spec have no argument other than they think it’s icky, and don’t like it.

We share a game world with 5 year olds…

Your right, we do share a game world with 5 year Olds, though you may be surprised who the ones acting 5 years old are.

“I want this, I want this, I want it, give it to me now!”

I’ll let you decide who the 5 year old is, the person screaming to have their way, or the person content with how the game is even though they recognize it has flaws, and are enjoying the game for what it is, flaws and all.

As opposed to idiots who constantly cry and whine for the game to be modified to cater to their endless whims and needs.

There’s literally no reason to not add it it

It won’t effect gameplay what so ever, or cater to one faction / class / race

It’s mere a nostalgia factor of some #NoChange morons who are against change

Your free to have your opinion, but the damage it does has been discussed before.

So, your wrong about it having no reason not to be added.

People are remarkably short-sighted about such things. Which is odd, given we can simply look at Retail and see the effects of these kinds of changes.

That statement you quoted reminds me of all the people who said boosts won’t have any impact. Bots won’t use them, etc. All of that nonsense turned out to be incredibly wrong. As would happen if dual spec was added. Obviously it would have massive implications on every facet of the game. But some people can’t be bothered to reason out beyond their own personal short-term desires.

1st- it wasn’t in original TBC, very much a legitimate argument. The appeal of coming back to a classic version the game is why alot of people came back. The more rugged, unrefined playstyle of TBC compared to what it has eventually become.

2nd-it takes away the consequences of choice, which may not matter to you but they do matter. Retails garbage because there is no consequence to your choice anymore.

With each “great” idea that the idiots want added to classic, we keep seeing failures after failures and the game getting worse.

What I don’t understand from all those morons, is that we keep telling them to beware of the consequences of constantly catering to their endless whining, and no matter how many times it ends up making the game worse, they keep screaming that all their ideas are great ideas. It’s like the cretins who keep asking for more changes are just incapable of seeing that they’re always wrong.

We do want dual specs. It’s such a great feature for those who want to pvp and raid without the hassle of having to change specs each time. The gold isn’t even the issue.

New world my friend. People complained about not being able to play a pvp mini game and Blizzard changed the game. DS is bigger than merc mode lite and will help far more people. It should be put in.

Faction choice also is this way yet Blizzard is going to add in FvF. So “It wasn’t in original TBC” and “Consequences of choice” aren’t a thing anymore. Unless you’re going to say FvF is acceptable but Ds isn’t.

What if they removed respec costs? like why does it even cost gold to respec?

This is very much like saying:

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because Activision forced this horrible pay to win monetization into the game, you want to open the flood gates and keep having it changed until it’s unreognizable like Retail? I totally get that this is a tired argument at this point, but I genuinely ask: If you’re really in favor of changing the game, why aren’t you playing retail instead of Classic? The whole point of Classic is that it isn’t Retail.

It prevents currency inflation and encourages longer play time. Almost everything in the game requires some kind of time or currency commitment, and that not only keeps the gold from piling up, but it also instills a sense of accomplishment for every barrier you overcome in the game. Much like in real life, having a positive experience in WoW tends to be very reliant on how much time or effort you put into it. Respeccing is much less rewarding if you can do it infinitely and for no cost like you can in Retail.

Because Blizzard is on the record stating they wanted respecs to be “meaningful, thought-out decisions”. It’s reasonable to deduce that respec fees were intended to deter respecs being rash and whimsical.

This was specifically during pre-release of origin TBC, in response to players asking if re-speccing would be made easier in TBC. Blizzard’s answer was no, because it would diminish the significance of re-speccing.

To me, that is the best argument against dual spec. It is literally contrary to the design of the creators. It’s fair enough if you want it but you have no legitimate reason to justify beyond that.

If you can change to any role at any time, is it really a ROLE playing game? Go play fortnite or something.
