No Update on SOM Transfers Yet

Would like to see them open transfers at least a week or 2 before wrath expansion

and I would like a unicorn :expressionless:

What kind of no-life loser spends his free time arguing with people on a forum? A guy named Forumfighter from Area 52!

everyone knows forums are the truest form of PvP :expressionless:

Just open SOM transfers to WOTLK already. Pre patch is out and SOM is dead. If people want to raid there still then they can stay.

no. you’re stuck on SoM with me. get used to it :expressionless:

Did I strike a nerve?

does blizzard plan on removing the oceanic SoM realms to further spit on our faces?

Are you not getting enough wpvp/bgs? Are you really trying to anger them so y’all can dance?

Whats SoM? I boosted a pally and have a 64 DK already. Haven’t even thought about SoM in weeks. Doubt I would even bother to level one of my SoM 60’s to 80 once WoTLK drops.

Isn’t SoM over though ? KT has been killed a few times now. Players are quitting SoM whenever they kill KT. What’s the point to drag this for so long?

Pre-patch is the perfect opportunity to level up for wrath and be prepared. Don’t forget that we are only level 60. We need to grind 20 levels once WOTLK is out. We are far behind everyone else.

The people that wants to stay on SoM until the end will stay until the end.

Good news!
That content is available in Wrath. Outland will still be there for you.

No one suggested a pirate server.
Blizzard’s own progression/Wrath servers have access to TBC content. Hooray!

Knock yourself out in Outland.

Let me get this straight…

SoM players won’t be able to transfer over to the progression servers until 2 to 3 months after WoTLK Classic drops.

SoM toons will have to level from 60 to 68 before they can experience WoTLK content.

The result of these two facts is that SoM toons will still be leveling in Outland months after players who did TBC Classic have already worked their way through Northrend and are probably getting ready to raid. Their progress in Outland will be slower and harder because there will be far fewer people to do dungeons and group quests with. These players will likely not get to see any Outland raiding before they move into Northrend, which means they will likely have to level with lower quality gear than the TBC Classic players.

Sounds to me like SoM players are going to be entering the progression servers with a distinct disadvantage compared to those who played TBC Classic. IMHO, that disadvantage more than outweighs the dubious “benefit” of displaying a title or achievement that was earned in SoM.

correct, these developments relegate SOM players to a reviled underclass of the larger classic community. As if TBC players weren’t already bad enough to contend with - now they have concrete advantages over SOM players in what should’ve been a fresh start for the community. Ill timing on Blizzard’s part- massive oversight that destroyed our guild’s mass WOTLK copy plan. Now most have simply quit the game. And yes, we are leaving to pirate servers and better games. No need to sugar coat the truth when Blizz clearly doesn’t care. It’s a shame too because the DK noobs could’ve used some Naxx chads to group with in Outland and AV.

And SoM players won’t get to enjoy the 50% xp buff either…getrekt

Blizzard update on this @kaivax ?

Just allow the players who want to transfer off to transfer off. If people want to stay, then they can.
