A lot of your gear doesn’t match…and getting evn tier 1 for most people will take months.
Yes. That’s why it feels so special when you stop looking like crap.
You said rush. You cant rush this…unless you don’t like sleeping or bathing…or eating.
They were updated with the replacement items in April 2005, so about 4 months.
lol so getting to 60 in 4 months is considered rushing? Wot?
No?
But no-one ever rushed to 60 for the mounts in Vanilla, because we didn’t know they’d disappear. I remember ogling the white raptor and the rainbow raptor when I was buying my green one, but they were gone long before I ever had 1000G to spend. That 1000G is going to be harder to gather than people think too, and if you’re not the faction of the mount you want, you also need exalted.
The mounts only existed for a few months, what the blizz devs were talking about was putting them in for only a few months in classic. In origional wow they were taken out of the game before the majority of players owned an epic mount so they were generally a rare item as they were removed from vendors altogether when the armored models were added to vendors. So the logic from blizz was that if they put them in classic for a limited time then people will rush characters to 60 so they can save up money for the mount before they are gone.
All in all it sounds like their existance shouldnt be a big deal, and thats probably true but people who had them tend to have a developed a special memory of them so it feels like a slap in the face to not be able to get them again.
I love mounts in WoW. To me this is a huge deal. Im pretty damn bummed about it. Now i have to save up 19,000 gold and bribe a ZG group for the raptor.
They rush to cap so they can start raiding. Which is apparently acceptable but rushing in order to get a mount isn’t. People care about the way they look in this game, too. Why does this need to be spelled out?
I still have my unarmored epic palamino
99% of the people claiming to be rushing wont even be 20 by the end of the first week.
What does that have to do with the topic at hand? And you’re wrong. Most of the diehard players have already done it before on pservers. I’m washing my hands of this conversation.
Seid… all private servers have literally every single value in the game wrong. Ive played on multiple pservers…none of them have ever been correct. Lvling on a pserver is not even close to how ir actually was.
The devs themselves stated pservers got them wrong
The devs are doing stuff that are wrong too. We didn’t have sharding, we had unarmored mounts, no right click report and many other things which did or did not exist in Vanilla.
Im talking about in game values of health, mobs, abilities etc.
Not technology designed to make the launch smoother.
It’s pretty laughable to not include the mounts that are synonymous with Vanilla in a Classic Vanilla server.
The majority of the mounts you see whenever you google ‘Vanilla Warcraft’ are all unarmored epic mounts. When you see someone on them today all you think is ‘oh they played Vanilla’
The excuse not to add them is flimsy. If you are worried people will rush to get them include them longer. They were available originally for more than a single phase.
Especially so because they are using the old mount system for buying.
Reconsideration needed.
So many noobs dont even know about these mounts please spread awareness.
You are doing Elune’s work.
This is the argument we’ve been using for years and they don’t listen. Don’t get your hopes up.
The flying issue is still a sore point with me and many others.
who ever decided to not let us obtain these mounts that were in the ORIGINAL game and the ORIGINAL vanilla experience should be fired .
