Since the midnight patch this pet simply no longer spawns, not as a critter, nor as a battle pet.
I am far from the only player aware of this.
Design simply does not listen to it’s player base anymore, imho.
On March 14th, in response to one of your posts about this, I posted this:
"It’s currently 3:08 pm server, on Feathermoon, and I’m looking at an Umbral Amagalm at 37.57, 46.06.
edit: I spent about half an hour flying around, checking the other spawn points. I killed critters in those spots, including a few Umbral Amalgam critters, and killed/captured other pets that I came across. No more Amalgam pets spawned. It may be that only one Amaglam pet spawns per shadow phase, or only one can be available at a time. Or I was just unlucky in not seeing any more in the very short time I was checking."
In other words, it’s ABSOLUTELY still spawning.

You copied and pasted that “guidance” almost verbatim from Warcraft Pets. But you failed to do your homework for your fairy tale.
Since the Midnight patch the pet has NOT spawned. Not as a critter, and not as a battle pet, and Blizzard, per my ticket, is aware of the problem, and concurs.
And I was there the day you claim you were, with a screenshot to prove it.
You were NOT.

I can’t believe I even checked to see if you were online and specifically posted the time I found it on the off chance that you saw it online so you could come grab it. I guess that’s what I get for wanting to be helpful.

it is on warcraft pets. Almost word for word, the coordinates are exact, and i had already tried that location four days straight every single void phase when you left your “advice”.
Now; back to the Creek, Dawson. If i want make believe, I will watch cable news.
The comment with coords closest to mine is 46, 32, which is near the Strength of Beledar rare. MY comment is specifically for 35, 46, which is just on that point NW of Mereldar.

In the interests of science - and to prove that I’m right that they’re still spawning and not the one that’s a liar - I went down to Hallowfall today and found two more Umbral Amalgams. These were both up at about 3:15 PM PDT on Feathermoon. I had suggested it was possible in another thread that only one could spawn at a time - thankfully I was wrong in this case.
The first one was a grey found at about 61, 46. I left it alone.

I’ve been using an addon to tell me when the Beledar rare spawns, as that’s caused by Beledar going void, which also causes the Umbral Amalgams to spawn. It hasn’t been updated for daylight savings, though, which is part of the reason why it’s taken me a bit to go back down to Hallowfall to check for more Amalgams. Heck, the main reason I’m down here today is because I’m doing the Children’s Week quests - if you squint you can seek Skibbles in my pictures.
