No tank should outheal the healer

They’re still the best for healing the group, which is exactly the job they were created for in the first place.

Depends on the tank and situation. There are times when tank outheals the healer, there are times when healer outheals the tank.

Numbers don’t matter, just if each is doing their job properly.

Yeah, its self healing. It shows big numbers because Details tracks it while it doesn’t track Stagger, Shield Block or Bristle Fur.

Prot Pals do big healing numbers too as they’re kind of the middle-ground between Warrior and BDK but in the end its all roughly the same (ok except Bears who got screwed last patch but that’s a different problem).

Im not struggling at all. EVERYONE else IS. People are being one and 2 shot in these 14s and 15s. If it was just a few bad players im talking about maybe youd have a point but im experiencing this with everyone. Countless deaths in every key run. At what point do you stop calling all the players bad and admit there are some tuning issues. Like I said healers are almost NOTHING right now. You know how long it takes a healer just to bring ONE dps from say 10% to 100%. Healer heals are trickles and are barely noticeable.

I disagree. Healers are putting out trickles now. Takes forever to heal even one player. I know this from the 15 seconds or so I have to wait to be healed up after a pull gets my health low and I am out of combat and can no longer self heal.

You guys don’t understand why this is happening. Ofc in a 24 the healer does low HPS, there’s nothing to heal, if anyone gets clipped by anything they straight up die.

That’s a pretty big design issue atm, the higher the keys the less impactful healers feel. But that has nothing to do with tank self-healing.

Cause guess what, cut down Tank self healing and they’ll go back to kiting trash packs accross dungeons like they used to do and healers still won’t have much to heal in high keys cause success in these is just a matter of raw mechanical execution.

I don’t care much for the MDI normally but i’m actually curious about it this time. I want to see if pro teams will start phasing out healers in profit of running double tanks just cause Healer’s damage potential is abysmal.

That has nothing to do with tanks, and healers asked for more to heal because they hate having time to DPS. Got their wish and now it sounds like just keeping the DPS alive is a problem, you really want it to be worse with less tank self heals?

Tanks job is to take damage and be hard to kill. Don’t much care how they accomplish that, be it living long enough for me to push my heal button that restores 500k life to them every global… or essentially having that button themselves and saving me the effort.

I don’t mind their bar being nearly as long as mine on the HPS meter - doesn’t really bother me.

All I know is, I got my hands full healing in high keys even when DPS interrupt most of the bad… much less when they don’t.

Yes… yes i do. 2-3 casts not counting my Hots rolling.

I had two issues I was talking about here. The insane self heals of blood dks AND the low heals of all healer classes. I SAID in my post that blood dk heals need to be nerfed and add more armor to them and ALL heals need major buffs.

I dont even take Evokers in my keys anymore. They spend more time dead on the ground than they do healing.

No. Im specifically talking about Blood dk heals and the lack of heals from healer classes. Id like it to be BETTER by giving BLOOD DKS more armor and less self heals AND buffing ALL healer class heals.

Not sure what to tell you. I’m managing it just fine.

I would like to see tanks be tanks and healers be healers. What is so hard to understand about that? Tanks should get aggro and mitigate damage and, yes, have some self heals to supplement the heals coming from the healers. What I am saying is that when you have a certain tank class doubling and even tripling healer numbers on the WHOLE party with heals ONLY going to him/herself…thats completely out of balance and destroys the whole concept of what a tank and what a healer is supposed to be.

it does feel bad when I am healing and a tank decimates my healing numbers through self heals

makes me go ‘then why am i even here?’
