You posted this when the game was down for regular Tuesday maintenance and it came back up shortly after. I logged in and did some farming from 7:30 am to 7:40 am (ish) pacific time.
Tuesday mornings from 7am to 8am is always scheduled maintenance. Every single week since WoW launched. You can just assume you can’t play in that window, but sometimes it is up earler.
I know this but I swear, every time I decide I want to do a bit of early morning farming it’s a Tuesday and I’ve forgotten which day it is 
True in December, 2023, and true in September 2024. Will the world revisit this at some point in the future?
In all fairness, the OP’s post was on December 4th, 2023. Apparently that was a Sunday, so that would have been unexpected haha.
Man could you imagine a world where maintenance was no longer on a Tuesday from 7am to 8am? I dunno if I could! That’s just outlandish enough that it could be a great April 1st entry for Blizzard.
I don’t know if we’ll ever not have one though. I’m entirely positive that the sole purpose is to reset the state of the system to mitigate memory leaks that couldn’t be fixed in time for release and are probably still sitting at the bottom of the backlog today. I’m not judging… I feel that pain
