No Savepoint in TC = UTTERLY RIDICULOUS game design

TC could have very easily had a lockout system of some sort, just with a shorter window.
Maybe they expire in 24 hours instead of a week, and no extensions.
Every 6 floors you get a new lockout.

Raids and Dungeons have had lockouts for forever, I’m sure Blizz could figure it out if they tried.

1.5-2.5 hours is a big chunk of time.
I live with my wife and a senior dog, sometimes I gotta walk away from WoW longer than expected. Life happens.
A checkpoint/savepoint/lockout/whatever you wanna call it should exist.
I can’t think of anything else in WoW that takes that long and wipes all your progress.
