I’ll just resort to multiboxing the dungeons to replace the RDF like I have throughout Classic.
So it isn’t LFD at all thanks for letting me know.
However, you are wrong. Saying classic isn’t a solo experience at his point is laughable. Why is that you may ask? because no one is doing dungeons. They raid log. Classic and Retail are exactly the same in terms of player experience. With one major caviet. In Classic. You level alone until max level. In retail. You do dungeons with other people until you are max level.
That is the entire reason the major exodus of realms began because the player base as a whole decided to try and combat this by all playing on the same realm… Well actually that isn’t accurate. Those who wanted to play more often decided to go onto the same realm so they had people to play with. Guilds and PvPers were then forced to follow so they had people to recruit. This forced the casual players to then follow the Guilds and PvPers because their realms began to die.
Ultimately it doesn’t change the fact classic had a purpose and it isn’t the one you are trying to place on it. That purpose belongs to SoM. That is the version of what that is supposed to have changed and make alterations to make the game be meaningful.
Classic is suppose to be a retread of where we once were. We are going back to a vanilla, we are going back to TBC, we are going back to wrath. Not we are going back to a “different more meaningful vanilla”, we are going back to a "“different more meaningful TBC”,and we are going back to a “different more meaningful wrath”.
Classic is going back to that game as it was for better or worse.
Era is a time capsule of the final version of an expansion
and
SoM is an expansion that has changes to make it better or shake things up.
The game you want is Wrath SoM, not Wrath Classic. So like all those before you we were told to wait for Wrath Classic. I guess I’ll be the first to say wait for Wrath SoM.
im just not going to buy the boost there is no point to boost an alt in a dead raid log game by phase 2.
no lfd no boost.
I am neither for or against adding LFD it is what it is. To be honest as a tank that will dps in raids no RDF benefits me more since I don’t have to bring other melee to my pugs. With everyone using RDF I would have had to roll against melee more then likely.
The question to you as someone who plans to quit by cata as you yourself said. Why do you want to control how other people play? Why do you think your way is the way it should be?
By this logic you don’t have to play WotLK, classic era servers and SoM are right there for your “community”

I honestly hate rdf. I hate getting into terrible groups or groups with friends who are toxic. If they add it now people will just troll because who cares, you’ll never see them again in 30 minutes
Then you could just opt to not use RDF and form groups the old way. I don’t see the issue. It’s better when both options are available imo.

LFG removes the entire social aspect of dungeons in WoW.
No it doesnt. Why? Because even in TBC currently there is no social aspect to running dungeons with people. People spend 2 hours looking for a group to do the heroic daily, then when they do get a group going. The most talking they do is asking who needs a summons and then there is nothing said to anyone until the run is over and at most that is simply TY, Good Run… With RDF, the only thing that changes is people having to wait for 2 hours and having to them summons the players who are to lazy to fly to the dungeon. RDF does not stop people from talking or not talking once the dungeon is formed up… At all…
Peoples arguments about it making the game anti-social is completely un-true. The truth is players attitudes just happen to be changing at the same time when Wrath came out. Even without RDF players would have become less social in the game and this is because more and more people, even outside of WoW where just becoming more anti-social. We went from a society where people had to hop on their bicycles and ride over to their friends house to play Nintendo, to just sitting at home and using the internet and not leaving the house unless they had to go to work or get grocery’s. RDF had nothing to do with it.
At least that scenario is more interesting than “I logged in, did laps in Shatt for 30 minutes looking for a group before logging out.” Bring on the RDF trolls. At least I’ll have funny stories to tell during raid trash pulls.

Yep, its going to hurt the overall experience for sure if they do not add RDF. A lot less people will be queing up to kill time.
I think this is their plan. They want to slow down player progression. There are no attunements and they don’t want players working through the content at breakneck speeds so they remove LFD. I’m really sad about it. I can’t tell you how much fun I had leveling alts in Wrath with the LFD. It’s just so disappointing
Good now I can continue to make money boosting people.
Find out if the paid level 70 boost is a one time thing before you celebrate.
So social aspect is the typing LFG nonstop?

you’ll never see them again in 30 minutes
It’s like that now.
the only reason i wanted RDF was to level a rogue or one of those classes nobody invites but are fun to play
Possibly, do you have discord? Get it if not and join your server + guilds discord, there will be plenty of buzz around people organising dungeons there. Wrath dungeons were top teir there will be plenty of people doing them far into the Xpac for the fun of it
I find boosting a heck a lot more interesting and challenging than raiding for sure.
