"No Pirates?"

Considering the source, no. It’s not like those other speculative rumors.

Who? I don’t even know who that is. Maybe Flynn would be a better option, but I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t go over well with certain groups of players.

I must have missed it, because I don’t know anyone that has “begged” for a pirate-themed x-pack. I’m sure there are people out there, but I doubt it is as popular an idea as you make it seem.

God that show was so good. I watched it after it finished, and the buildup is insane.

If Blizzard actually went this direction… lol.

And you didn’t know who Flynn was until the start of BfA. Why is Flynn being new ok but Nightsquall isn’t?

It’s why all the pirates were on the Forbidden reach. They were looking for resources, riches and powerful items so they could join Nightsquall in his attempt to take over the mystical new land he found on the other side of the endless storms. A land like the one that was mentioned in the books found in the new Uldum dungeon and the valts in the Forbidden Reach.

It’s been the just about the first thing people start predicting and asking for every xpac for nearly 20 years now. If you don’t see it, that’s on you.

Because Flynn was a comedy relief side character for an entire expansion and not the focus.

If people have predicted pirates every x-pack for 20 years they are obviously not very good at it, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise when they get disappointed again.

No governors’ daughters?

You know, you could have just said you don’t like pirates and can’t take them seriously so you don’t want them and saved us both the trouble of this little back and forth.

I don’t think Blizzard would be tempted to make a whole expansion where they massively save on development costs by only having to retune previously released content.

I don’t really take anything they say seriously but I do think this next expansion will be one of their bigger ones yet possibly. Pirates MAY be a thing or aspect of it but at this point I think Ybarra would of not said anything to begin with.

I’m thinking 11.0 might be the start of an azeroth revamp and some dealings of more void, etc, perhaps Azshara being back or Xal’atath or both. It seems old god stuff and void is not going away and there were datamining or perhaps left over pieces of goldshire and/or updated housing asset.

There might also be a governor’s daughter. And a jar of dirt.

BUT… all of the rum’s gone.

Who is “he” ? What did I miss? :upside_down_face:

From another thread (I don’t use twitter so don’t know the whole context):

I’ll stick with this instead

Thanks for the link! Although I’m still not sure I understand if he meant this in reference to WoW or something else, as a reply to someone or if he just said it out of the blue. :upside_down_face:

Also, why is the twitter bird replaced with a giant letter X now? I can’t keep up with the internet anymore. It changes too fast! :sob:

BFA already covered pirates, but they didn’t the mogs and reason why they are bringing them out so late.

If you need a Pirate fix you could play Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Apparently years ago a billionaire bought a one letter domain name and has been desperately looking for an excuse to use it ever since, even if it means cannibalizing an existing brand.
