No one listens to open world players

What on earth are you talking about?

No? world content has been faceroll for anyone who does M+ since legion.

The M+ crowd didn’t care about the covenant sets in 9.0. the M+ crowd cared about how good PvP gear was for it being completely deterministic.

You just have an axe to grind with M+, so are projecting everything you perceive to be negative on to the players who enjoy it

I was here. I’m very aware of what I saw.

Think about what you just said… it was faceroll for who again? That’s right M+. Now… gear yourself in normal gear obtained from normal content and try it again… it’s damn near impossible.

In Legion there was class order stories in which you gather followers in the open world. In this expansion we got dull covenant stories. Followers were lock behind renown and choregast.

I have done ZM in the 226 anima greens with no legendary. It was still easy.

I was here too and I am very aware of what I saw. I saw countless M+ players complaining that “casuals gear too fast” that it “undermines their efforts” and that “casuals didn’t earn the gear”

Citation needed.

I can’t speak for capslock but I’ve never seen an expansion where even LFR gear didn’t get you to easy mode for all of the open world content. Certainly in SL open world stuff gets you basically invincible unless you do something deliberately to die.

I don’t believe enough of ‘you people’ exist for it to be worth any time or effort on the developers part to worry about your progression path.

The truth is, you’re on a progression path, you’re just stopping at step 2.

Step 1: Level to max.
Step 2: Get enough gear from easy sources such as Heroic dungeon and open word bosses to move to step 3.
Step 3: Choose between PvP, M+, or Raiding as a progression and end game.

So I say to you, MOVE ON TO STEP 3.

ZM is easy in the anima greens, no legendary. I have no idea what they are talking about for world content being hard unless you have M+/raid gear from the current or previous season.

so do what we do and turn warmode on- best of both worlds, plus progressing on the basic pvp gear gives you a sense of progression… not to mention you get the benefits of extra stats, rep, etc from having WM on. if more alliance wouldn’t be so scared to pvp in the first place- except in the forums it seems…

Wrong. This isn’t about ilevel. It’s about keeping people at max level interested in end game zones and continuing to play and buy new expansions, knowing they’re not left out.

You wouldn’t even comprehend that, because you don’t even buy new expansions nor play them.

I never asked for anything that we don’t already get. Try reading.

They already have. But.you wouldn’t know that, because you don’t even play current expansions.

I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS.

You don’t even.play this game in current content and don’t buy new expansions. You’ve made that clear on these forums time and time again.

This topic is about engaging end game for those who enjoy open world, NOT ITEM LEVEL.

You’d know that if you’d stop acting pretentious.

Open world casuals should NEVER and i mean EVER have equivalant gear to raiders and mythic plus players.

We work hard for our gear and the power that comes from said gear. Casuals don’t, world quests and elite mobs are nothing compared to heroic/mythic raid bosses and +15 and up mythics.

So no, 233 ilevel to 246 lfr gear is where it needs to stay. I have no idea who thought giving normal sepulcher weapon 252 ilevel to casuals was a good idea. 229 greens is good enough.

Gear is mentioned because it’s everyone’s progression path. But literally NOWHERE did I ask for anything higher than Normal ilevel, which is what we got in Korthia and sort of in ZM.

:man_shrugging:

you might not have, but this thread is being used by some as a platform to ask for this.

The fact that you think open world is still legitimate content past the days of vanilla is the main problem. The game is marketed and designed with the 3 pillars in mind and the open world is simply there as supporting role for the story and whatever progression system they’re using at the moment. If there was data showing the devs that open world players were a large enough segment of the population they would specifically design and invest in that but they don’t. So obviously, there’s not that big of crowd to make it worth it investment wise. Threads like these need to stop because the devs are already spread thin and we’re getting less and less of real content. I propose the compromise using enough dev resources to add the FF14 soloable dungeons ability to game so that gives you all some good content. I know it’s not open world but it could be where you get your better gear from.

Could give examples of what ‘people’ might like. We constantly hear that when people are complaining on the forums. I’m sure Blizzard would enjoy some examples of what would constitute “engaging open world content.”

Keep in mind, I openly posted examples from these very forums of people complaining about what you liked about in Korthia, and no, they weren’t high end raiders either.

We already have Normal ilevel. I never asked for anything higher. I asked for a more engaging system that keeps us playing the entire season.

And we take an entire season to reach ours. See Korthia.

You’re part of the problem. You don’t comprehend what’s going on for those who don’t play your content.

Open world players reaching Normal ilevel at the end of the entire season doesn’t affect you. We reach our progression limit at the very end, you reach your limit way before and at a much higher ilevel.

Every type of gameplay deserves a progression system. No open world player ruins your raids, because we’re not running them anyway. We wouldn’t even if we were somehow forced to. Wed quit first. So there goes another exodus of open world players are ignored.

End game zones are meant for open world engagement and give open world players a means to continue to play when they hit max level and don’t run group content.

Try to be more open minded. We don’t dictate how your content works, so stop dictating how ours does. You’re the reason I made this thread. As a former progression raider who was a raid leader and did so for nearly three expansions… I respect what progression content vrings to the game. It is important. But so are open world players.

End game zones exist because they ARE legitimate content. Your argument is null and void.

No. People like you need to stop telling others how to play the game.

Has the idea ever been presented that the reason these people claim they struggle in ZM without gear is that they are actually that bad?
