No one is doing early dungeons?

No one seems to be joining early dungeons. This is night two of waiting. Is something going on that makes people not want to join random dungeon groups at the moment?

Hi, which version/cluster/faction/class are you playing, and which dungeons are you looking for?

Alliance hunter. Regular wow, not classic. Its just odd, because a month ago, watching tv, I’d get a group within 15min.

Cenarius server.

Ah, I don’t know anything about that. This is actually the Classic subforum, which is why I asked. These forums are notorious for weirdly slipping users between subforums and characters.

You could try one of the other subforums, not sure if that would help.

Hi I’m returning player I faced same issue so best option I did I went into low population server they have there own community easily to find people and a lot of nice people willing to help to join dungeons but yeah better to make an alt and check people in these servers first

Yea I don’t think this is an Era server. It’s true that we’re low pop, but usually in this version of the game if you reach out to people in your level range, often they are into a dungeon! What’s weird though is that usually dungeons pop a lot more in other versions of the game so you’ve got me.

Haha are you the rogue I forced bags on! Yay new friends  I agree, this game is all about community!

@Folider - Grob is definitely a great community and you would absolutely be welcome! It’s worth keeping in mind though that Era, and especially Grob, is not for everybody. It’s much lower population and has a much larger emphasis on community. You get back what you put into it and if that’s not your jam, absolutely no judgement.

If it is your jam though, you will find friends you can get up to internet shenanigans with for many, many years to come!

Folier, maybe consider taking a quick peek into Classic Era? Our game version may be older, but the dopamine hits just as hard as any other Warcraft version.

Safe journeys to you, and I hope you find your community.

I’m going to look into classic. I love(d) everquest and older style, slightly harder mmo mechanics. Thanks.

I’m not going to try to convince anyone that the complexity of Classic Era mechanics is what makes this game version satisfying to play.

For myself, I enjoy the helpful and friendly community. I also enjoy the environment and easy pace of the adventure.

I wanted to stop driving by the forest on my way to some place else. This time I wanted to take the hiking trail and immerse myself in what was there.

I played EQ from 2001-2004 and was amazed at how much “easier” and convenient WoW was compared to it.

Me:

“I don’t lose xp when I die? “

“I can get through the leveling in a month or two?” Keep in mind this is 2004, before the masses solved the game.

“I don’t have to grind the same 3-5 mobs, in the same camp, in the same zone for a week or two before moving to the next zone?”

“Quests actually tell you what the objectives are, the npcs have big yellow exclamation marks over their heads, are plentiful, and actually worth doing?”

“This game (wow) has pleasant graphics and runs way better on my computer than EQ?”

“Woah, I can fast travel via flight paths and don’t depend on wizards or druids to do so?”

“I actually get occasional gear upgrades while leveling?”

“Elite mobs are less difficult to kill than generic mobs in eq?”

“Warriors do more than auto attack?”

In hindsight it’s amusing to me how casual WoW felt in 2004, but at the time I was ready for something more relaxed. The one area that was a head scratcher to me was the pvp ranking system. Such a horrible design.
