What the OP and people like them don’t realize is that Anduin sucking has nothing to do with being a cis yt male. He’s just a whiny and wimpy character.

I think you mean that is why YOU don’t care about him.
Personally, I have no problem with him being a straight, white prince that inherited a kingdom upon his father’s heroic death.
I don’t care about him because he was such a brat in Pandaria.
No, that is why YOU care about Sylvanas.
I used to care about Sylvanas because of the way she looked after the Undead.
Now I don’t care about her at all.
Why can’t posters stand on their own opinion instead of conjuring up an imaginary crowd?

Maybe if Anduin used the void that would make him more Interesting but he’s so soft and timid.
Like put a quest where Anduin has to punish criminals so they get executed or something

So many do not understand what the High King actually means. It is a military title, it is the equivalent to the Supreme Commander in NATO. It just means he leads the combined Alliance army, that is the end of that positions authority. He has no power over any of the member nations at all, only his own because he is their King by birthright.
And if you think back to MOP, they explained that he was already being groomed by the other races to eventually take over this role. As he was working as an ambassador and learning the cultures of the other member races. Just no one thought that he would be thrust into the role so soon.

Which is why him going DK has been more interesting, for as long as it may last… What I am not looking forward to mopey emo self-pity guilt ridden Anduin that you know is coming as soon as he is “fixed.”

That’s what I like about him. He’s powerful, but he has a good heart, he’s kind and he can be a little soft at times. He’s not like everyone else who is battle hardened and edgy. I hope Anduin stays how he is.

I stopped caring about Sylvanas when her writing started contradicting everything she had done prior. She became nothing but a well-armored plot device with a name when that happened.
No I’m showing you that I understand that’s not why he’s boring.
It’s why I mentioned Arthas who has the same background but isn’t like watching paint dry

Thank God this post got restored. As for the character, yeah, he’s basically WoW’s golden boy. Whatever Anduin says, is the devs preaching morality to the playerbase. Anduin said nobody deserved the Maw, so that’s how you know it will be abolished.

I care way more about Anduin than I will ever care about Sylvanas.
Anduin was not given the entire world on a silver platter, if you think that’s the case then you clearly have zero idea what is going on in the story for him.
Sylvanas is a borderline mary sue that the writers will not stop lavishing with undue praise. I just want her to be dead and gone already.

Yeah, because just because you’d rather be an ambassador than a warlord means you’re suddenly given everything in the world.
Are we discounting the fact he lost both of his parents at a young age, effectively got to lose his father twice, and has been struggling with trying to keep the peace despite some of the most idiotically stupid warmongers in the world existing (Garrosh and Sylvanas, not to mention other idiots)
Anduin is far more nuanced of a character than Sylvanas could ever dream of being.
Sylvanas just needs to be taking out back and shot and dropped in an unmarked grave and left to rot.
