No it’s not that.
They literally just said in multiple interviews these past few weeks they only finalize major narrative decisions for a patch when the previous patch is live.
They don’t have enough ready because they’re only just now deciding what 9.2 will be based on our reactions to 9.1 decisions.
So far probably:
- Dreadlords cool
- Helya meh
- Night Elves are being louder than Forsaken so no Calia/Lilian and more Tyrande/Shandris
- Nobody likes Zovaal still oh no
I would agree that a 2.5-3 year long Shadowlands is necessary
but that goes against the past almost 2 decades of WoW
