No new class in Midnight?

So, maybe Demon Hunter should have followed the same approach—launching with two specs and then making players wait nine years to pay for a third spec instead of introducing it as a full class feels like a lazy move by Blizzard. I want a fresh new class. I don’t want to pay for Blizzard fixing a lazy mistake that should have been fixed years ago.

They have enough trouble balancing the already existing classes

They’ve almost run out of minor variations on melee to add, and they won’t be caught dead adding something a bit more unique like a physical ranged class, so no more new classes it is.

They struggle balancing so much they add a new spec…

Yeah yeah, see you in midnight bro.

You will not see me. I didn’t buy it.

You’re gonna buy it when they discount the expansion half way in. We all know you’re gonna play it.

Why are you so determined to get us to buy it? That is weird. Players have a right to be disappointed.

Because I’m not delusional.

It is very sus!

Kinda happens when you have 1 person working on multiple classes. They need to hire more devs

Where are you getting the information they only have 1 person working on multiple classes?

I’m not talking about the story, I’m talking about the mechanic.

It’s not shadow. I would agree a long time ago that the power of shadow was used but Blizzard made it that those sources of power are separate. That side quest is actually very specific in how the new DH class comes about.

It is really funny that it’s happened twice.

So should they just cancel the demon hunter’s 3rd spec because you are disappointed?
Deleting addons and deaf people out of the game isn’t bold enough for you?

No one’s asking to cancel an entire spec just because someone’s disappointed. Criticism doesn’t equal a call for deletion—it’s about voicing concerns when something, like an expansion, feels underwhelming. I think people who pay for a expansion deserve a fresh class with 3 specs rather than a single spec. As for add-ons—they’re just interface tweaks, not a bold new feature. Calling that a major innovation feels like a stretch.

I had a DREAM last night that WoW added a new class called “Hockey Player”. Hockey Players moved around on roller skates, and whack enemies with their hockey stick. They also had a really cool wearable banner (Like a clan banner).

Seriously tho, I saw talk about the Haranir being added as a playable race in another thread…? And a third Alliance race that can be DH? (Not just a third spec)…?

No new class, “Green painted Darkspear” instead of actual Amani, pet battles gone, a second prune that’s likely to go as well as the first, etc.

Yeah, I’m thinking it’s going to be an underwhelming expansion defined by cost-cutting.

Yeah, it really feels like they’re playing it safe with this one, cutting corners left and right. Swapping out actual Amani for a green-painted Darkspear is lazy. It definitely looks like an underwhelming expansion focused more on saving money than delivering quality content. Feels like a missed opportunity. If we loose pet battles it is likely due to the Palworld lawsuit.
