No more tier sets for open world and solo players?

You only have to be so strong to clear solo content. The same applies for Mythic raiders. We’re only as strong as we need to be to clear Mythic raids. It’s all relative.

So the original catalyst system did NOT include open world stuff until LATER ON.

That said, it sounds as if any content that currently would give you currency, such content is likely going to be what you do to satisfy the quest.

And if there are dailies, it will likely include those players. Provided the base item condition is satisfied as well, as ZM was a special case

Hey, no matter if we agree or disagree, if you’re here to stay, you have my respect at the least and I’m willing to hear you out.

I don’t respect everyone’s opinion equally because not everyone is committed to staying here no matter what, and as far as I’m concerned, their lack of long-term investment invalidates their preferences for how the game should end up.

It’s Pawzer. To them, if you don’t parse 98+, you’re not allowed an opinion. And they wonder why almost nobody likes them.

It’s obviously more than that, in a way that benefits world players.

If it was only about the minimum ilvl needed in S3, M raid would drop about 265-270, and ZM would drop about 145.

Blizzard has done some shady things.

But yes, i have been playing wow since burning crusade. No other game can even come close to wows endgame.

Didn’t care either way, actually. I’m all for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, but that’s not what body types are. I don’t know what they are, but whatever it is doesn’t really seem to represent anyone.

Why does anybody need tier gear, or any kind of power-related bonuses for playing the game?

Because no one would want to run the same content every week without getting more powerful or experiencing changes in gameplay.

This is the case for any MMO player, whether they are doing world quests or raids. People are going to leave the game rather than do the same content for months on end without any changes, improvements, or goals to work for.

WoW devs have made it clear that they are not running WoW like a subscription-based MMO any more. They are fine with solo and casual players buying the expansion then dipping out, because the hardcore players are going to stay on and keep doing the raids and dungeons (which are efficient to develop because they are all recycled assets in some ways due to the fact that the same assets are used for multiple difficulties, and potentially multiple seasons).

The goal of any successful MMO should be to keep as many players subbed as continually as possible, rather than just to milk a smaller base of loyal fans for expansion box sales, store purchases, token sales, and year-long subscriptions. Give solo, casual, open world, and crafting players an endgame again.

I know as a raider i like doing old content/current content.

I do not play alts anymore.

Synderi is my main for the forseeable future, ive seen leveling content to the point i dont want to do it anymore.

For me to keep playing Synderi i need content outside of raiding because i dont pvp at all. I have no desire for it.

Now as far as tier gear is concerned. I have been a raider since Ulduar in Wrath of the Lich King. I dont feel solo/casual players need tier gear. Now i do feel there should be sufficient rewards ie: epic gear 20 ilevels below normal raid gear to be able to progress their character.

The best gear should come from raiding and no mythic +. +15 mythics shouldnt equal mythic level gear. Mythic raiding is the hardest content in the game after all.

Some content actually requires ilvl to be doable. world content (in its current form), doesn’t.

I don’t understand the problem here. Tier gear has always come from raids, now it also can come from M+. I thought it was generous of them to allow Sandworn Relic gear to change to it. I have no issue with DF not allow open world gear to change too.

LTP your class dude. The solo content is stupid easy. This isn’t the vanilla days when you actually had to watch where you went and plan your routes because mobs agro radius was long and they hit hard. Today you can punch a couple buttons and beat almost every NPC in this game. You can literally draw large packs and mow them down with ease. No offense, but you got to be the weakest demon hunter in all of WOW if you’re having trouble with open world content.

Ever notice how its never “Please scale solo content harder so that I can earn better gear?” No, it’s always “Let me keep doing the same easy content, but give me better gear.”

Blizz needs to cater to all. Other mmo’s do. I remember reading one lady say she talks to people all day at work and comes to this game to not socialize. Not everyone is that way, but I bet a decent amount? I do not feel the same way. I wanna chat and hang out in the world.

Pretty much. I’m completely with you on improving the open world. I’d love the open world to have more dynamic events happening. World bosses are cool, but I’d like to see more things like Legion had where different points of the broken isles would be invaded and you had to go help. DF has invasions so we’ll see how that works out. But yes, something different is needed. Throw in some surprises every now and then. Not everything needs an announcement letting us all know that it’s coming. Spring something completely out of thin air.

The funny thing is, you REALLY don’t need to socialize much in this game. Only time I deal with a lot of other people is during raids, where you HAVE to coordinate with each other. The rest? not so much.

You really need to start your own thread because what you are talking about if far more beneficial than putting these ideas in a typical “GIVE ME BETTER GEAR!” thread. They will just get buried because all the OP cares about is getting better gear for doing EZ content.

I’ve said multiple times that asking for harder solo content that gives better gear rewards is a reasonable request. Buff gear for the same mind-numbingly easy world grind now is not.

What about +20s? +25s? +30s? I agree that +15 shouldn’t reward the same level of loot as mythic raiding. But there can reach a point for keys that are just as difficult (if not more) in a lot of ways than mythic raid.

Why do solo players need tier sets? Pet battles don’t require an OP set to finish, neither does a WQ, or any boss in the open world. What scares you about doing a low M+ for some gear to convert later?

I mean, a world set with world bonuses would be awesome. I still want fun content vs that.

Keys do not scare me. The thought of doing ez, low keys sounds mind numbing. I will not be pigeon holed into keys. Seems all ppl talk about is keys.
