No more myth transmog appearances from heroic upgrades in Midnight

Telling people who are trying to farm Mythic sets that they can easily get an LFR set is some wild logic. Just like telling people who voice frustration with the aquisition of event mounts that they still don’t have all the vendor mounts and rather should farm those first, because otherwise they’re clearly not dedicated to mount farming.

I will be unsubbing myself and 4 other family members if this goes through. Its a transmog, nothing more. I dont not give money to a company who takes content away from me that i have previously been able to do for the past 2 years. I hope blizzard reverts this decison. I normally dont post but thought i would this time.

Ah the appeal to “the silent majority”. Seemed to work well for us in Vietnam lol.

I think this is part of the problem unfortunately–I even heard this in raid last night with a few of our more…elitists friends saying that they dont think its ok that delvers can be in myth coloring for their gear.

I just eyerolled. Mythic raiders get a guaranteed mount for finishing the raid, they get achievements and they get a title. Should they really ALSO hold all the rights to a tint on their gear?

I will continue to provide feedback to the alpha team that not allowing color changes with crest upgrades is a stingy and stupid change and the only people complaining about this or who have an issue with are elitist and need to get off their high horse.

Mythic raiders get enough goodies others dont have access to, the color changes should stay.

I’m not against it. I honestly did not realize it was such a thing - something people would be so passionate about. For me, transmog is something I play with till I find just the right constume for each alt, then idc about the rest of it. I think transmog is one of the best-ever additions to WoW, but I only care about collecting pieces I have a use for. Not just more just to have them. So this whole issue caught me by surprise.

What if they flipped the tints? What if the LFR color only came from mythic, and the mythic color was from LFR? I only rarely like the new sets anyway; that’s why this all feels like non-issue to me. My DH, for example - the one I’m posting from - worked out his superhero costume back in Legion and hasn’t changed it since. I enjoyed coming up with this look, but I like it more than any set that’s come out since. That’s how I am with all my characters. I come up with their look, and then they’re set.

I don’t collect anything I don’t think I’ll use. I’m sure some do but I bet the majority just farm pieces they want and want to use fairly quickly.

But yes transmog is a HUGE part of the game for many of us.

There are definitely times where other tints are better than mythic. I farm up the ones I want and ignore the others.

First thing I do when I get a piece of mythic gear - one of these looks everyone is worried about - is transmog it out of that look and back t :rofl:o my classic (classic to me) costume.

Well good news, in Midnight you won’t need to do that anymore.

I will absolutely pick my main based on the seasonal elite PvP appearance  it’s always the same 3/4 classes but still… The thing that I’ve loved about tww is I’ve been able to get the mogs on the other 2 alts I play via the catalyst.

Again realistically it just kept me playing longer because it made other mogs accessible. I’m not playing 10s on every alt that I play.

Bad change to me for time played.

Yes! I am looking forward to this part.

Fair. I do support everyone enjoying the game in their own ways, as long as it doesn’t involve being mean to others. I was blind to this one particular playstyle. Don’t get me wrong - I often farm old instances for transmog. Usually it’s when I make a new alt, and I’m researching costume components and find what I want is some raid I never did (I’ve skipped whole expansions over the years). But I can’t remember a time when getting the newest tier set mattered much to me - oh except the druid tier for my bear back in Legion. He still uses that set today, best bear transmog every imho.

Some people pick their mains based on what’s the most op. I pick mine based on mog

That’s the great thing about transmog, the only person you need to please is yourself.

They should add a button to disable transmog on other people for the individuals who really care about earning appearances. That way their feathers won’t get ruffled from seeing someone with an appearance that was earned the “wrong” way.

The trasmog change also does not affect weapons for lower raid difficulties, like what? Why make a QoL change for only the armor and not the weapons? Huge oversight. Fix this blizzard. Include weapon appearances in the tmog change and let us keep upgrading.
