They really should have done AR customizations at the very least. I was looking forward to LFD getting a bunch of customizations from the regular Draenei.
Night borne are in a bad spot right now too.
Have you been reading the thread at all? Because nobody here is saying “I’m disappointed but I’m still going to play” outside of a few select people. It’s “I’m upset, Blizzard lied to me, so I’m going to request a refund and cancel my subscription.”
So it’s either extremely important or it’s not that important and this thread is full of people blowing it entirely out of proportion.
Ian Bates has an opinion, and he’s free to feel that way.
But there was nothing deceptive about it. Sorry that you’re upset. How’s that refund going?
The best part is that it makes you unhappy.
Or, and I know this is hard to swallow, it is important and people can still enjoy the game and want to see this change.
Blizzard gave a distinct impression that they intended to add more customization throughout SLs and that it was a main feature of the expansion.
Folk have every right to be a bit miffed about it or even choose to stop paying blizzard. However they do not need to leave to still be annoyed.
It’s people like you who seem to be trying to blow it out of proportion.
Evidently not if they’re literally threatening to unsubscribe. I don’t really know how many times I have to say this.
It makes them upset and angry.
It wouldn’t if it wasn’t important to them.
Now, I don’t agree that quitting entirely is necessarily the best course of action, but it does show blizzards choice is being received poorly.
And that’s fine. If you’re upset, then say it. I was never arguing that you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Talking about the sites that track daily logins. RP servers like moonguard took a 65% hit. While over-all servers took a 50% hit.
I’ve read the thread and my statement is not directed at them, it’s at you. None of my comments on this thread are discussing refunds, hence why I’m not replying to the OP. My initial comment in this thread was directed toward someone that found it ridiculous that someone would quite the game over an aspect of the game they didn’t find as important and I called them out on it.
Back to your assertion that it’s “Either/or” … again, it can be true that I find character customization very important for the game, while at the same time enjoy the gameplay of said game while still being disappointed that character customization is lagging 15 years behind. It’s not hyperbolic, it’s not hypocritical, it’s a objective statement of reality.
Did OP ever get their refund?
I kind of just don’t care about people whining about customization at this point.
I just need to know if Blizz actually did it, because that would be amazing.
Probably. Why they left.
Narrator: She didn’t get it.
I quit the game today because of this, and because the content is boring me. But moreso for back tracking on further customization. I’m so sick and tired of their corporate speak.
Blizzard used to be an indie dev. They used to have passion… now… this…
Imagine trying to get a refund after playing the game for 3 months
So. You are playing the game and now expect a refund because you can’t change your face more this expansion? Yeah, not going to happen. If you are only playing WoW for dress up then you are in the wrong game. Go play one of the other mmos that focus on customizations over content.
I agree that asking for a refund is ridiculous. But he isn’t in the wrong game for wanting more customization for his characters. Surely your perspective is not so narrow?
Is that correlated with post Blizzcon numbers or before? I am curious.
Sounds like so is about 50% of the population. But enjoy going down to 1.5 mil subs. Oh those queue times… I don’t want to ever hear or see anyone complain about queue time son WoW who defended this shiz. And said that WoW isn’t barbie dress up when a good 50% of the people who play maybe more clearly think so.
